I am not really sure what this government is doing. We had a minister of Agriculture with a PHD in Agriculture. He allowed the country to import weed killers which most of the farmers misguidedly ended up using it on most of the farms. I really don’t know how to describe these guys whether political Cowboys or patriotic Devils.

As the owner of 900 acres of tree and crop plantations, I reluctantly had to resort to using weedicides. There simply isn’t enough people ready to do weeding on farms. So, don’t blame the decision makers for chemical weed control. Perhaps, the farmers could have been given better education on the use of weedicides. Unfortunately, in our unjust system, most of our farmers are poor, desperate and illiterate through no fault of theirs.
