The MPs were DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED meaning that they participated in a contest in which they had the majority vote of their constituency which now gives them legitimacy as representatives of their people. That is how democracy is supposed to work. Some people may not like the vote but the majority gets to choose the general direction of policies. The President is the President only because he gained a majority vote of THE PEOPLE. I am sure that there are far more capable individuals in Ghana who could have delivered better results as a head of state than this President but they are not in office because they either did not stand for election or simply did not get the vote. And that is how democracy works. It is the height of arrogance and hubris for any individual or groups of individuals ANYWHERE to presume that they are wiser, more knowledgeable than the collective wishes of millions of Ghanaians. THEY MUST NOT PRESUME TO KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR THE MILLIONS OF OUR CITIZENS. They are in office only because of the wishes of the majority and they need to remember this every day of their life.
