  This fine of one thousand cedis against the chief is excessive. I'm independent of the guilty verdict passed against him, but I think prudence and fairness makes me think the fine is high. He can be fined a token amount so it'll serve as a deterrent for people not to make bogus accusations against fellow citizens.
  This guy is a Chief and is entitled the right to utter comments that he thinks will defend valuable and their environment including deforestation and pollution issues such as these.
  Conversely, the minister is a public figure and therefore opened to criticism, period. It comes with the position, to have a thick sick.
  Final comment is to the judges; I think they're beyond terrible and bad for rendering this poor outlay in this case. then again, what are they good at besides sucking up to party politics and taking bribes. They're pacesetters alright, except they're setting presidents in the wrong direction for the entire country.
