Why going Germany? Fix your own hospital. You aren't special than the poor people who die at the shithole hospitals in Ghana. Our leaders should learn to fix thier own.

A prayer answered for poor Ghanaians to show our political class of daft humans how important it to equip our death chambers we call hospitals. Imagine Otumfour pleading fir a whole hospital to be fixed ,while some new ones are abandoned in the bush ,are we normal? Can't comprehend how our politicians think. Sad to visit a government hospital in Ghana. Instead of resourcing it we will rather buy expensive 4×4 vehicles for them to drive in convoys. My prayer is any attempt by a politician to seek medical treatment abroad ends in death.

May the young man's soul rest in peace. The rest of our MPs must seriously think about it that in case of emergency which government health facility would they be carried to? Korle Bu hospital and that hospital in Germany, which is nearer? In a citizen gets the same ailment as Kumah, would the one be sent to Germany? Do politicians in Germany come here for health care? Abronye! Those in politics today my learn something from the young man's death that it can happen to any of them. Surely, the never thought of this.

Sad as his passing might be,this is another example of what the failure of our Government in Ghana to provide adequate Healthcare to its people does to families. He was deputy minister of finance and therefore an important member of the party and Government.
The devastation and pain of his loss to his mother, his wife and 6 children will not be replaced by mansion worth millions of USDollars he built solely for himself.
Had part of that money been invested to improve the deteriorating Okomfo Anokye Hospital or any nearby one,he would not have died in an ambulance but maybe airlifted to another equally improved Ghana Health facility.
He was on the way to being airlifted from Accra to Germany but couldnot be airlifted from Kumasi to Accra!
The lessons here to our MPs and Government are many and simple- when you plan to improve the welfare of the ordinary people of Ghana,it could save your own live as well.

I am very surprised people have just started speculating unnecessarily about what really killed this young man, honourable John Kumah. These acts of unkindness , cruelty and disrespect to the family of the late honourable member of Parliament is beyond comprehension. What’s happening to our country? Please don’t blame Nana Addo for these alien behaviour. The media with their evil and stomach journalists and some self proclaimed cantankerous religious practitioners are all at it. This world wide behaviour has no place in our developing society. Similar thing happened in Russia where an opposition leader died in prison and the entire Western media without any evidence started accusing Vladimir Putin for the guy’s death.

He is nothing but a land robber.'

I really don't understand this, he lives in Kumasi shouldn't KATH, be his first point of contact for an emergency, which genius thought it was wise to drive him all the way to Accra if it was an emergency. How many people who even live in Accra make it alive to Korlebu in an ambulance during an emergency. Couldn't he have been stabilized in KATH, then flown to Accra and airlifted to Germany. This is why we as a country should prioritize fixing our broken healthcare system.
