The article is nonsense. JJR had long before rejected being named after anything including the UDS he helped establish with his own money. Knowing that, loser Akufo-Addo can't have intentioned to rename it after him.

I thank THE Spear and Box for making the Point that President Rawlings used his UN Award for promoting Agriculture (US$ 150,000) as Seed Money to establish UDS. What is the Token of Justification this Osei Akoto man is talking about? He should do his research and not distort History for students. President Rawlings could have named the University after himself [like Kwame Nkrumah named KNUST after himself] and nobody would have complained.
