We dominated Cameroon - Grant

Ghana Black Stars head coach, Avram Grant insists his team was the better side in Franceville during the second semi-final even though they fell 2-0 to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
A visibly disappointed Grant whose tenure comes to an end as coach of Ghana after Saturday’s third place playoff match with Burkina Faso told the media that they created more chances that the night’s victors.

“It is very disappointing to dominate a game and you fail to win it. That is the nature of football and we shall go by that. We missed Asamoah Gyan and Agyemang Badu through injuries.

“Gyan was injured because of the poor Port Gentil ground but he is a great fighter who worked so hard to shake off the injury after being rested against DR Congo. These are key players who would have turned around the fortunes for the team if they had started”, he told the press.

Grant refused to discuss anything about his future plans when asked. For the third place play off against Burkina Faso, Ghana will return to the Port Gentil Stadium, the same ground that they played Uganda, Mali and Egypt in the group mat
