Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, brother of the sacked Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, has blamed some faceless people for his brother’s exit.

According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, Kyeremanteng Agyarko stated that there are concerted efforts to tarnish the image and reputation of his brother.

This, he went on to say, is an attempt to ‘crucify’ Boakye Agyarko, for reasons that are not too clear.

Kyeremanteng Agyarko, who has distanced himself from the Ameri deal that led to his brother’s exit, revealed that there is a deliberate attempt to misinform Ghanaians.

Taking to Facebook, a social media platform, he wrote: “My attention has been drawn to some news making the rounds on social media that I, Emmanuel Agyarko, am the agent and Ghana representative of the new ‘owners' of the Revised AMERI deal. That is false. I have no business relationship with the present or past owners of the AMERI plant. This contrived information is not really targeted at me, but rather a part of a grand and larger scheme to give my brother, Boakye, a bad name to hang him. But respectfully, and to quote the President, this “dog” will not hang”, he declared.

Boakye Agyarko, was on Monday August 6, 2018, relieved of his duties in a statement issued and signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin. The Minister of Land and Natural Resources, John Peter Amewu, has since taken charge as acting Minister of Energy.
