A number of familiar faces from Ghana’s media industry have officially joined the legal profession as they have been called to the Bar on October 10, 2025.
From news anchors to broadcasters, these personalities have added “Esquire” to their titles after years of dedication to legal studies.
Here are some of the notable media practitioners who made it:
1. Serwaa Amihere
Already admired for her professionalism on screen, the celebrated GHOne TV presenter and producer now wields additional influence after being called to the Bar.
Her achievement of successfully balancing her media career with rigorous legal studies has been widely commended by fans and colleagues.

2. Joseph Ackah-Blay
Known for his sharp reporting and articulate delivery, Joseph Ackah-Blay, has transitioned from the newsroom to the courtroom.

6. Sixtus Don-Ullo

Portia Etornam Kornu is a former Multimedia journalist with GhanaWeb who did tremendous work in highlighting pressing societal issues.
