Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to close temporarily on December 27

The Management of Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park has announced that the park will be closed to the public on Saturday, December 27, 2025, citing internal operational arrangements.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the management of the public park said the temporary closure is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve facilities for visitors.

During this time, the park will not be accessible to the general public, it added.

“This brief closure is part of our internal operational arrangements, during which the park will not be accessible to visitors. We kindly encourage the public to take note of this date when planning their visits,” the statement said.

The management of the park reassured visitors that regular operations will fully resume to the public on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

The officials have also encouraged the public and tour operators to take note of the closure when planning visits to avoid disappointment.

The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park is one of Ghana’s key historical and cultural sites, attracting thousands of visitors annually.

The management thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation, noting that the temporary closure is part of efforts to enhance the visitor experience and uphold the park’s reputation for quality service.
