General News of Thursday, 26 October 2017
Vice Chairperson of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Anita Desoso has accused Joy FM and Daily Guide Newspaper of stabbing the party in the back after the NDC fed them while in power.
The two media organizations have reportedly intercepted a copy of the highly guarded NDC’s Dr. Kwesi Botchway Report which diagnosed what led to the party’s resounding defeat in the 2016 general elections.
The two media groups in the past few days have been serializing contents of the report amidst claims by some NDC executives that it is fake.
The Daily Guide Newspaper which is sympathetic to the governing NPP close to the crucial 2016 elections published lots of adverts of then President John Dramani Mahama’s achievement much to the chagrin of NPP supporters, as they believed by so doing the Newspaper was rather furthering their opponents [NDC’s] electoral fortunes.
Speaking to Kasapa News Thursday, Anita Desoso accused both the Daily Guide Newspaper and Joy FM of biting the hands that has fed them with their consistent false publication of supposed damning contents of the report the party insists is fake.
“I’ll not blame Daily Guide and Joy FM, we the NDC didn’t support the media houses affiliated to us when we were in government. Daily Guide always had NDC adverts in their newspaper. The NDC supported Joy FM with loans when we were in government, while we left Radio Gold and others to their own fate. Today these media organizations that we helped are doing well and have turned round and are working against the NDC’s interest.”
