Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has been handed a rare start for Swansea City as they face fellow strugglers on Sunday.

The Swans host Boro at the Liberty Stadium with both teams desperate for victory to preserve Premier League status.

The pressure is on at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon, as Swansea City look to put two successive defeats behind them against struggling Middlesbrough.

The Swans have turned to start Ayew as they seek goals to help them beat the relegation dogfight.

Boro, managed by interim boss Steve Agnew, have only won four Premier League games this season and are the division's lowest scorers.

After Crystal Palace, Hull City and Leicester City all claimed vital wins in the league on Saturday, the Swans must win to put some breathing space between themselves and the bottom three.

Swansea City writer Andrew Gwilym will have all the latest updates.
