Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei produced another solid display for Granada CF in their 2-0 away victory over Deportivo de La Coruña.
The 21-year-old came off the bench to feature for 34 minutes, marking the first time this season he has started a match among the substitutes after previously playing in 16 consecutive games.
Naasei, who had been deployed mainly as a right-back in recent matches, returned to his natural centre-back role during the encounter.
The defender helped Granada stay organized at the back as they secured all three points on the road.
Despite beginning the match on the bench, Naasei has remained a key figure for Granada throughout the campaign, making 29 appearances in Spain’s Segunda División this season.
The Ghanaian joined Granada in 2023 and has steadily worked his way through the ranks to become an important member of the squad. His consistent performances have contributed to the club’s push for promotion to La Liga.
Born in Accra, Naasei is eligible to represent Ghana national football team.
With Ghana preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, his continued development in Spain could put him in contention for a future call-up.
