If previous IGP was like the current one, our sisters would've been found -Spokesperson for missing girls

The spokesperson for the four kidnapped Takoradi girls,Michael Grant Hayford has lashed out at the laissez faire attitide of the former IGP, David Asante -Appeatu in the case of the missing four girls.

According to the mouthpiece of the families, had there been an Inspector-General of Police (IGP) like the current one James Oppong-Boanuh their sisters would have been found long ago.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Neat Fm, monitored by ghanaguardian.com, the spokesperson claimed that the Police administration under the former regime always wanted to cover up when issues where reported to them without solving it.

He cited the case of the fourth missing girl who infact was the first to get kidnapped but when the matter was reported to the Takoradi Police, they were told to keep mute as making noise about it will result in the suspect bolting.

The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh, yesterday paid a visit to the four families of the girls kidnapped in Takoradi in the Western region something his predecessor failed to do.

The development comes at a time the families are preparing to offer blood samples to the investigative team validating the authenticity or otherwise of the bodies discovered in recent times.
