Communications director of the Ghana Gas Company Limited, Owusu Bempah has stated emphatically that he will relinquish his position should Mr. John Dramani Mahama amass 30% in the 2020 Presidential election.

According to Mr Bempah, the erstwhile Mahama administration woefully handled the country’s economy and doesn’t deserve a second chance to lead the National Democratic Congress [NDC] in 2020.

Speaking on Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, he stressed that the NDC would regret massively should they present Mr. John Dramani Mahama as their 2020 presidential candidate.

‘’If the NDC party endorses John Mahama for the 2020 election then it will be ‘Ba yawa’ I will quit my position and resign from politics should he even get 30% of Ghanaians vote’’

‘’Kwame you remember I told you in 2016 in your studio that if Mahama wins I will pack my things, travel to the UK and leave there and truly he lost woefully’’.

‘’Quote me everywhere, I am saying if the NDC endorses Mahama for the 2020 polls and he wins I will resign from Politics because the good job President Akufo- Addo is doing is enough to predict Mahama’s defeat. Nana Akufo-Addo managed to introduce an unprecedented mind boggling policy direction that will leave an indelible mark in the minds of Ghanaians by implementing the Free SHS policy within just seven months’’

‘’This same NDC people including Mahama and Asiedu Nketiah categorically stated that there was no way Nana Addo and his NPP government were going to make the Free SHS Policy possible but what are we seeing now, hasn’t Akufo-Addo made justice to what he kept telling Ghanaians for many years’’ he quizzed.

‘’Nana Addo told them that I haven’t come to steal the country’s money rather I have come to use the resources in the country to finance the project to better the lives of Ghanaians and to also make education accessible to every Ghanaian child. He kept saying this continuously and truly tells you he was a leader in the making’’.

Owusu Bempah is however optimistic that President Akufi-Addo would be ranked among the greatest politicians Ghana has ever produced.

‘’ You can mark it on the wall by the time Nana Addo tenure expires he would be one of the greatest leaders the country has ever produced I tell you Kwame’’.

‘’Now Nana has introduced the planting for food and jobs project and has also paid the numerous arrears the NDC left while in office.’’
