Mr Victor Kwesi Ekwam, a prospective contestant Organiser for Agona West constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to the delegates to vote for a candidate that will unite the party to win 2020 elections.

He said it was time for the party faithful to seek for unity and peace to assist Agona West to recapture the Parliamentary seat.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), in an interview at Agona Swedru after the vetting on last Sunday, Mr Ekwam, affectionately call ‘Isaiah 54.17’ asked the delegates to give him the nod to help win political power.

He said the Constituency did little organisational works in the 2016 campaigns, which precipitated the defeat of the party from Presidential to Parliamentary candidates and said disunity and lack of cohesion crept into the members from polling stations to constituency level which needed to be changed.

Mr Ekwam said Agona West NDC at the moment must get new constituency executives with the fresh vision that could drive the party to better managerial skills to become attractive to people in the constituency.

He stated that the NDC could win 2020 elections, but needed commitment, hard work, selfless and dedicated executives who could mobilise more supporters to unseat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the next elections.

Mr Ekwam stated that the Agona West NDC lost 2016 due to petty squabbles, hatred, selfishness and other hindrances.

The Prospective Organiser said he was capable and would soon outline his vision that could assist them to recapture the seat, adding that delegates were the kingmakers and could decide who should be voted to serve the party.

Mr Ekwam, therefore, urged the rank and file of NDC in the Agona West and the rest of the country to bury their political differences to come back to power, adding that NPP is fumbling in the true administration of the country and it is undisputed facts.

He stated that Ghanaians saw the massive infrastructural development projects which took place in every corner of the country in the areas of health, education, road networks, jobs, proper security management and foreign investments under the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Mr Ekwam, therefore, appealed to the delegates to vote massively for him in up-coming constituency elections to help propel the party to win power for Ghana to become a better place to live.
