Taekwondo clubs to partake in a video contest

The Ghana Taekwondo Association (GTA), in partnership with the Korean Embassy will soon organise a special video contest for clubs in the country.

The initiate, aimed at promoting the sport in Ghana will see clubs present a one minute, 30 seconds video on the impact of Tae-Kwondo on their lives.

The contest, which is opened to all registered Taekwondo clubs in the country, is dubbed ‘‘to me Taekwondo is’’ and ‘‘how did tae kwondo changed my life’’ will see clubs presenting topics related to taekwondo including sparing, Poomsae, and training.

The eligible clubs are to download a contest application and a survey form at ghana.mofa.go.kr/English and attach the video and send to an email address ghana@mofa.go.kr.

The submitted videos will be used as promotional materials by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ghana.

A panel of judges will at the end of the event will review and select the best video clips where 20 Taekwondo clubs will be selected and awarded with 15 Tae-kwondo uniforms per club with the top three clubs to receive taekwondo equipment as additional prize.

The champion of the video clip contest will take away a Protector sets including forearm, shin, head, two chest, one Mat, and a Poomsae training Manual whereas the silver medalist club gets two Protector sets, 10 Mitts and a Poomsae Training Manual whilst the third best clubs receives two Protector sets, and a Poomsae Training Manual.
