SO the table tennis association and its athlete wants the world to believe they did not have the basic equipment needed to compete? Whose fault is that? If that is the case, then how did they even qualify for the Games? IT will be the equivalent of a football team qualifying for a tournament and then claiming because NEW equipment came late, they were unable to perform well. Why would you not use the old equipment that got you to the tournament in the first place?

What are we going to win: no Afcon success in 32 years, no gold at olympics and even the world cup we boast of, we were shown the door in the first round.Algeria and Nigeria got to the second round. This story is a total misrepresentation and lies. I am not the captain of the table tennis team . I am the captain of the men and not the general captain . Bernard Joe Sam is the captain of the team . Secondly the rubbers and the other equipments that were given to us were the top most quality and i think that journalist should portray the good part of the games , the harmony in camp and the effort of the management team and the athletes . If Ghana sports will go down , it will be caused by some of these journalist who always want to peddle lies and not to promote sports . Our equipments did not arrive after the doubles event . It was during the play of the team events . We didn't loose to countries due to the poor rubbers but instead we lost to them because of the delayance and late arrival of the equipments and not the inferiority of the equipments .
