The claim by Kojo Mahala is true when you get selected for the camps where selection takes place unless you have an agent or someone behind you to pay the coaches you do not get slected.
Those who say provie proof or he shouold have coem out with this when he was active do not understand what that woudl mean. If any player who goes for trials and does not get selected for the national because they cannot give money was to comlpain to the GFA do you think they would act to stop it? Secondly anything verbal can be rejected or denied so how would Kojo Mahala bring evidence?
I know from helping a young Ghanaian footballer who got called for trials and made it in the final group but was not selected because there was no one at hand to give money to the coaches.
With the Anas situation unfolding what he has how can anyone wit any logical thinking dismiss bribes not taking place in football??

There is nothing wrong for this guy to voice out his displeasure but what is being said can be said by anybody who does not get a call up.What he is saying is vague nothing to substantiate if he is bold enough to publish the names of those paying the school fees or those taking the bribes just as Anas did with our judges that will go a long way to stem that rot but just making statements is not enough because it easy and cheap to just talk talk and what even baffles me here is that this guy never mentioned this allegation when he was getting the call ups but now that he is not call ups he is peeved and ready to make every statement out there to try to put names into disrepute.I know everybody wants to get a call up but just continue to work hard just don't give up.I know it can be frustrating when you think you qualify for call up but it has not happened so far.Sad but just continue to help at club level and let the call up come by itself no need to advocate for call up your performance at club level will give you the publicity by itself.
So it can happen to anyone. 8 years ago
The names of all the officials who accept bribes and have their children's school fees paid by call-ups should be published and shamed. Also, all corrupt government officials should be named and shamed.

Kojo Poku may be right about bribes being taken to call players. We have seen strange selections into Blackstars. However, I disagree with the example he used because thank God we have seen Kodi Adu play champions league and he is nowhere near a Blackstar material. Any of our current midfielders will walk into Malmo's first team easily and put Kofi Adu on the bench. Therefore Kojo Poku should stop campaigning for him and campaign for all real quality players who are not being called. It is gradually becoming a trend whereby old players keep campaigning for certain people. If Kojo Poku has taken bribe from Kofi Adu, he should give his money back to him.

Let the truth come out. It is now evident that the Ghana Football Association need to be viewed as corrupt organization. I would like the Presidential committee take this matter seriously and deal with it.

Whether what this guy is saying is true or not is beside the point. The issue here is for the Govt. to ensure that it is investigated to ascertain the truth of the matter. This is because in Ghana anything is possible.
