BECE leaks because parents want their children to attend only a few of the over 600 secondary (high) schools in the country such as PRESEC-LEGON, Wesley Girls, Achimota, Abuakwa State College, Aburi Girls, St. Roses and Tema Secondary making entrance to these few schools most competitive. They also believe that some schools cheat so they have to do something to level the playing field. Schools and parents contribute money to solve this problem compromising exams security. There are many prominent citizens who did don attend these schools.
