I think a proper balancing act should have been carried out. An act of goodwill on the part of E. Guinea in salvaging CAF's predicament by hosting the tournament in no way grossly superceeds the barbaric acts of causing bodily harm, terrorising and endangering the lives of football supporters. CAF therefore should have completely ignore the vitiating factor and hand down a more punitive sentence, very similar to the sort handed to Morocco. I think EG got away lightly. In anyone going to commence criminal proceedings against the culprits? We are watching

Democratically Repressed Africa!
Now, you understand why I mentioned to simply beat eq.Guinea by 1 goal. This is a govt and a people with no basic understanding of democracy. All they know is force, without Dialogue. Can you blame them for their brute, uncouth behavior? NO! Their democracy and option for public opinion and free speech have been repressed by their dictator Obiang. Caf should immediately stop hosting afcon tournaments in such democratically repressed nations going forward. Will such horrific episodes occur in ghana, naija, South Africa, egypt, Kenya, angola, Senegal? NO! Like I keep saying, gfa have themselves to blame. You continually beat your chest like an orangutan and call yourself "Ghana: Brasil of Africa". Yet look at the deplorable soccer infrastructure in the country? What happened in equatorial guinea was.horrible but in a way I don't blame them. When morocco pulled out, no nation wanted to host the tournament. Those who wanted to simply didn't have the infrastructure. So I don't blame the eq.guineans becos, had it not for being for them. This tournament wouldn't have happened anyway. Eq. Guinea invests their oil money in better sports infrastructure. What is Ghana doing with theirs? These monkey politicians are stuffing their bank accounts with it. Caf, stop hosting afcon tournaments in these non democratic african nations. It's for the good of the continent.
