Keep messi way outside the 18 yard box and he is practically useless and can't impact a game. Look not far and there was Marco Van Basten, Ruug Gulit and Frank Rikaard. Kufuor was a pillar in his days and his inclusion justified. Romario was an unquenchable goal machine and cannot be ignored. Manchini in defence was unyielding. These people should have made the mark.
