Sharing the writer's view, how in the world did Ghana go out of the WC in our own continent? Ans= mental and a lil stupidity. How did Senegal get knocked out 2002 with such a good team? Ans= mental How in the world did Cameroon not win the world cup in Italy 1990 when they beat the finalist Argentina in their group? Ans= I think is mental. Teams might get robbed at times by referees, but the importance of mental toughness to win a game cannot be overstated. If you dont understand what the man has said consider the word 'discipline', it's quite close.

That was a critical moment of the match, and avram is right, the lack of strong mentality in that instant cost us the game. I also blame the coach. He should have known gyan's lack of mental fortitude in such crucial moment, and let appiah kick that penalty. I know kwasi appiah appears soft outwardly, but he has the inner mental strength to make the best decision in such crucial moment. The last WC coach repeated the same mistake at the last Africa cup, by allowing gyan's to kill the team's advancement at yet another critical moment.

Nowhere did he singled out as probable or likely the best candidate to do well in Brazil. Ghanaians should stop the self glorifications snd focus on how to do well in Brazil cos South Africa and Brazil are two different ball games and terrains. Ghana has struggled several times in African AFCON tournaments since 2010 world cup so what is the guarranttee Ghana has the quailty to replicate its South African performances. Black Stars are simply now bindle of old nerves who'll struggle undoubtedly in Brazil.

As it turned out, it was only THE WINNERS (whoever it turned out to be, Nigeria in this case) who would meet Spain.

2. african players lack discipline
3. african teams/some players dont even deserve to be in the team. they wee called based on favors, bribe. how do u expect a team to be effective if this is going on?
4. african players play for bonuses firstly, before their commitment to winning the trophy. money/bonuses override everything else especially at the senior level.
5. african coaches tend to lack technical knowhow.
so avram must be cognizant of these before he talks. he is simply saying this to imbibe undue confidence in african teams. so someone can give him a job as technical director....muahahahaaaaaa..aaggyyeeeiii(in opeele's voice). avram, comot for dere!
