Sammy - Why should GFA distance themselves from Alhaji's Begging Committee when the GFA were on appeasement by refusing to accept the Ayew's request.
POW - When Gyan took the same stand you were on record to have said in here that we should understand him. GFA went on this same appeasement with one man begging committee in the person of Akwesi Appiah to Gyan's kingdom begging and promised him the captain's band and they gave him the captain's band.
I Mr.N would say every man has the right to retire anytime you want in your life be it working in the mines, oil and gas, basket balling or football / soccer. No dialogue no begging you leave you do not come back.
What is Neil Armstrong is talking about the man do not know where he stand he believed they are too young to retire so a dialogue should be opened this is the same thing Alhaji Karim Grunzah, Samuel Osei and Abu Sondonko are trying to do open up a dialogue where did it say they were going to beg them. Mr N, you are comparing apples to oranges. Gyan took time off from the Blackstars due to stress caused by his two penalty misses and subsequent fans harrassment of him andhis family.
Secondly, he did not set up conditions to be fulfilled by GFA before he will return.
You might be thinking I am supporting Gyan whilst I am against the Ayews but that is not true. As a matter of fact, I think Gyan is past his prime and doesn't even belong in the team but he had a legitimate reason to take time off. What are the reasons for the Ayews temporal retirement?
So being miffed because your brother was not selected to the team a reason to retire? Is it not ridiculous Jordan is demanding a guaranteed place in Blackstars permanently before he returns.
I hope you are backing the Ayews because where you work, you can tell the management to change their policies and sack your supervisor because you don't like him/her or else you will retire and they will accomodate your request.
I think the GFA was right to refuse their temporary retirement and if they insist on taking that position, then they should let them retire permanently because I have no idea where in corporate world you can retire temporary and come back to the same company later.

This is the second time Gyan had done it he came back and get the captain's band what message do you think it send out. I total disagree with you on GFA refusing to accept their temporary retirement they should have made clear to them we accepting this and you would never come come. GFA should treat every player the same be your Essien or KPB. We are always running after players making "tin god" out of them. Steven Pienaar of Everton call an end to his international playing days South Africa had not gone after him even through he is doing great Everton. I do not care who you are if you call time out you out of the door. This Ayews nonsense would have been put to bed if GFA had the ball to say we are fine with it we are moving and the door is closed.

Honestly speaking, Do you think having lived here for God know how long now, if I get a really good offer in Ghana but can't meet the timeline due to medical issues, I would notify them, see the doctor here before coming. Anyone would do that. How many MRIs do we have in Ghana, there is no way you can compare the medical infrastructure or medical expertise that the Blackstar or Ghana has to that in France. When Atta Mills got cancer (RIP) why did he not stay to be treated in Ghana? was he stripped of his position because he postponed many things to deal with his health in US? So if Dede has told you his condition and would like to get medical care in France hence coming a day late, does it warrant his elimination from the squad. Even Wakaso got to espanyol how many days after he was expected in camp, was he sacked? wasn't just given a fine and accepted back into the squad? Come on guys, there is something fishy, don't you smell it? Oh yeah, it's the coach.

I think the medical facilities at UAE where the Blackstars were training and the DEDE was supposed to report at has as good facilities comparable to France. What did you want the Coach to have done? The day DEDE wanted to show up in camp, Jan.9th was the same day mandated by AFCON officials for teams to submit their final 23 member team names. Did you want the Coach to have included Dede's name without knowing his injury status?
Are you guys just supporting blindly? Can't you tell DEDE was faking the injury? Did he not join his team mates in Morocco the same Wednesday and played in their next match? Ghana not coddle players even if they are the best in the world. Soccer is a team game and not boxing. Micheal Jordan even as good as he was playing in 5 man team couldn't win any trophies until Scottie PippenS and Dennis Rodman joined him. The AYEWS cannot win cups for Ghana without the other members.

You see, I keep saying a half fit Dede was better than many players we had in the team. If Dede was faking the injury why was he at the airport when he received the news? Why would he even bother making an attempt to travel? Plus, He has a doctor in France who he works with, knows him personally and would give him better treatment, It's about credibility. Because of our actions, that is why we are not progressing, the best teams in the world handle player better. As i asked, why did Espanyol not kick Wakaso out considering he came in days later and did not even give then any notice in advance? I'm agree we need a full team to move forward, but I see that team with the Ayews in it. We are over relying on Gyan, who has so far only left Ghanaian sad. Dede as captain has won Ghana the very first world under20 cup which no other African country has achieved, of course with the right team around him and good coaching. What has Gyan achieved for Ghana?

Wakaso despite his excuse that he was sick was still fined $15,000 for reporting late. Was made to train alone for a week and not featured in their matches and he did not even committed half the mistake the AYEWS have done. Espanyol will not tolerate the DEDE insubordination.
We are where we are because people like you don't realise the behavior of the AYEWS will cause a conflict in the team.
The team will be better without the AYEWS if the Coach invite Players like Muntari, WariS, Abeyie to replace some of the Players we took to South Africa. No player should be begged whether Essien or KPB. They should be allowed to retire. The Nigeria AFCON squad had 15 local players and 8 foreign based players and they won AFCON. Zambia won AFCON the year earlier with almost the whole team playing in its local league. We don't need the AYEWS as they think we need them. Left to me, they will never be wearing the Blackstars Jerseys again.

Firstly, Dede Ayew confirmed himself he was en route when he was called and given the decision. What I am saying is, He could have been punished by being put on the bench or a fine if he still wanted to participate, but total elimination from the squad was too severe a decision and being that harsh is not discipline my friend. Parents and teachers being extremely harsh and thinking it is discipline is what has made most Ghanaian kids timid and lack innovation (because the elderly are always right). It was obvious we needed his services in the tournament and the coach could have set an example of him as i have stated and yet had his service.

So it was Dede who said he was at the airport and you believe him? This was the same Player that assured the Coach he will report on Monday January the 7th and failed to report? The Coach did that not to punish him but his hands were tired. He could not put Dede amongst the team when his injury situation was not clear and I don't know how well to explain it to you for you to get it.
Whjat do you mean it was obvious we needed his services at the tournament? Was he not in the team in 2012 when we got beat by Zambia and finished fourth? We finished fourth with him and finished fourth without him. We cannot continue to allow Players to set their own rules. Teams that allow Players to take over the team have never succeeded in any team sports. I will be a real happy man if the Ayews are shown the door. We can survive without them. It was obvious the guy faked his injury because his brother was not chosen and we don't need such people in Blackstars. We are not talking about Ronaldho, Messi, Falcao or Neymar here. We are talking of Dede Ayew playing for Marseilles.

Muntari declared himself unfit to participate, that was why he was not invited. Unless you are saying Dede is a liar, he confirmed he was better and was ready to participate but he was told the decision had been made. After all what happened to Yiadom and Annan? Even if he was not fully fit, it should be something minor if he should be on his way participate. Do you have any justification to call him a liar considering you were not there. why do you make such assumptions when you do not know the actual situation?
Now Ghana performance though they finished fourth with Dede was far better than their performance through this AFCON true or false? Shit happens and could happen to the best team in the world, even Barca lost 2 0 to AC Milan's young team. In terms of performance, Ghana was shitty this year. From the way you speak and analyse the issue at hand, I'm beginning to think you have something personal against the Ayews. You are simply refusing to be objective, how many people on here have hinted that there are problems with the GFA? or are you part of the GFA yourself, so you find it difficult to accept your short comings? Tackle issues from the root, because this issue of retiring players did not start with the Ayews and if the underlying problem is not resolved, we will experience more players retiring. For one, put the Ayews aside, assume they were just like any of the other team members and ask yourself why players of the blackstars are retiring and what can be done to alleviate the situation. Give the Ayews a break.

You are right it did not start with the Ayews but it has to be stopped. You are not telling me because somebody hugged a transformer and was lucky not to be eletrocuted you are also going to hug a transformer.
What is unique about the Ayews retirement from the previous players who did the same is that, those Players did not set any conditions for GFA to abide by before they will return. What does Dede want the management to do? I will tell you exactly what he wants them to do. He wants them to sack the Coach and promise him the captainship of the team. This is a formula for disaster for Blackstars as other team members might not like that idea.
Why should Jordan demand demand permamnent place in Blackstars as long as he is playing soccer? What kind on nonsense is that? Do you not realise that will not sit well with other team members?
Essien took temporary retirement because he was injured and needed time to get his regular playing time at Chelsea. He lost his place in the Chelsea team because of his injury.
KPB retired not temporary but permanently because he said he cannot play national team and club football because of his injury-proned knees. We should allow him to stay retired.
Asamoah Gyan retired temporary due to fans harrassment after missing two penalties and fans threatened him and his family. In all three cases, the excuses by the Players were tenable. What is the Ayews excuse for temporal retirement? BECAUSE THEY ARE MIFFED WITH MANAGEMENT. Let them go.
I have no personal beef against them but I hate insubordination and selfishness as being exhinited by the Ayew brothers.

The fact that they even hint the idea of returning should certain changes be made, mean they are patriotic and want to help the Blackstars progress. What about other players like Essien and KPB who won't just return but are not explicit on what the problem is? I would prefer an employee suggesting what changes be made to improve the performance of the company when bringing his/her resignation, rather than just walking out. And many good companies actually do this to improve.
Plus, you don't have the full details about the Gyan resignation and later given the captain band because it was much silent.
Secondly, Dede never mentioned anything about captaincy or sacking of the coach, he suggested certain technical changes be made or way or thinking changed. From Coach Appiah's reaction, it feels like he has something personal against the Ayews which is not professional. What was his reason for not inviting Jordan again? The youngster was just handed the player of the month at Marseille which he deserved because I watched him play. He was also unduly harsh on Dede, do you think if it was Gyan in Dede's Shoes he would have pronounced that stiff punishment? Atleast let him in, put him on the bench and as punishment for few matches and utilize him when you need him. Mario Ballotelli would have been a nightmare for Ghana then, what about Carlos Tevez? Mancini is still utilizing his services and it is paying of.
Jordan's asking for a more permanent role.... I would actually preferred was agreed on. the guy is very young and really good. which other striker of his age is better than him in Ghana? we have to have him in the team constantly to help him improve to become the number one striker for Ghana as Eto was made during Mboma's time. Eto's improved to become a better player right?
Plus playing club, a player is more likely to even get injured than playing for country. How often do we have international matches? Those are to me just flimsy excuses to cover up for the hidden truth. Gyan should have as well retired then completely as yebo had done or should not have accepted the captaincy because he is still being insulted and harassed. So why did he come back? Think about it.

A second division team in Italy is better than a first division team in France. The fact that somebody is not playing in Europe or outside Ghana does not mean they are not good but I guess you are one of those people with mental slavery mentality who think all Players playing outside Ghana are better than local Players. Nigeria used mostly their local players to beat Ivory Coast with at least 5 of their players playing in the best league in the world, EPL and with players far better than the Ayews. Zambia also beat Ivory Coast with their local based Players against Ivory Coast team with eleven European based players playing for better teams and in a better league than the France league.
Have you watched the France league? Most of the teams have African players and the only European players are those who cannot find playing time in any EPL,Spain, German or Italian league teams. Give us a break with the Ayews playing in France. The Ayew were given that chance because their father played in Marseilles and a lot of Ghanaian players could have survived in Marseilles if they had the chance given to the Ayews.

Tell me what Nigeria team or Zambia team beat Ghana team in the last ten years in the African club championships. Don't just crap any idiocy here and expect anybody to chomp on it without evidence.
Who told you Arsene Wenger want DEDE at Arsenal? DEDE has expressed interest to play in the EPL and if Arsenal had expressed any interest, DEDE would have forced a trade instead of extending his contract with Marseilles. Don't believe every nonsense you read here. DEDE team played in the UEFA cup last year and DEDE was exposed to all the big clubs in Europe. If he is that good, he would have been snatched by now.
Marseilles is not among the best 15 teams in the world.

That the players might have genuine grievances and deserve to be listened to; but that they must not be begged. Precisely my point. And, by the way, I do have three kids....and by the grace of God, I try to do a good job of balancing the carrot and the stick. There are instances where you use the carrot [any sweetener that is attractive for the child] and other times where you use the stick. I did tell the interviewer that I was not privy to the full facts of the Ayews case and would therefore make the general statement that "every player deserves a hearing, for sure....and appropriately held dialogue should usually be adequate enough to resolve issues in human institutions. But when dialogue fails, I am of the view that it should end there, so we look to the next available player [who might turn out to be a star] to fill in the shoes of our players. And indeed, I was not speaking about only the Ayews. I was speaking about every Ghanaian footballer who deserves to wear the Black Stars jersey. Mine was a general comment about our footballers.

Anima or can I call you Brother Anima? A spade has already been called a spade. It is these two Ayew brothers who are using the spade as a spoon. Though, it doesn't fit into their mouths, they keep forcing it. I'm sorry to say but if they keep trying putting the spade into their mouths, someone will force it into their throat. These young men are requesting for something they don't have the skills to carry.
You are talking about it being bad when these young men are sidelined. Let me reason with you, but first, I say it will be disaster to include them if their attitudes are not corrected.
Already, they have informed the country that they are not interested to continue playing for the country. Do you agree with me there? One who is interested in doing things wouldn't give ultimatum. Have you seen any of the players demanding for a permanent position in the squad? Even Stephen Appiah, in his best years, didn't demand a permanent position. Micheal Essien as well followed the same suite as Stephen Appiah demonstrated a humble character.
One's skills path way for his inclusion in the team but not one's attitude. Baba Armando is an example. Now where is he?
Begging these brats will jeopardize our football system. Today's Jordan Ayew is demanding a permanent position in the squad though not qualified to even gain a position in the starting line-up. What would you expect his demand would be when he becomes a better player like Danny Welbeck who hasn't even reached his peak? Attitudes like that stinks and thus shouldn't be entertained.
Andrea's own is a sad story because if he is asking a change in the management before he serves the country, guess what he would be demanding when he becomes a better player in the form and fame like Abrahimovic. He would ask not just the GFA executive committee to be dessolved, but the whole House of the Ghana Government to be over-thrown.
There is no room for little brats like these young men. If they want to leave the GFA should let them go. They will continue to become our brothers and children. In other words, our arms will be ready for them when they are ready. On the contrary, they will have to issue an apologetic letter and on top of that be suspended twice the same number of months or years of their absence.
This will teach most of the players a lesson.

The Ayews are covering up for their indisciplinary behaviour. As for me, I don't care how good you are if you can't be of a good behaviour then you better take your cap and leave my sweater. Ghana was, has been and will be while Ayews will come and go just like the wind. No one man is bigger than the nation. "s3 woso kwraaa aa wosua" To hell with your pride. Don't beg them, accept their resignation whole heartedly, thank them for their past services to the nation and assure them the doors are always open to them as long as they want to return and the coach finds them good enough to use period. Better players krwaaa have come and gone, not Dede who has played 40 something matches for Ghana scoring only 4. As for Jordan the least said the better. You show up in a match as a sub and your very first touch on the ball you got yellow carded. Less than 50 seconds later he was red carded. A total of 111 seconds on the pitch as a sub? Then he comes out of suspension later wanting to fight David Beckham on the pitch? Those of you who are praising these boys should sit tight and lead them into temptation. I love them and wants to see them do well but when they're becoming unbecoming, there's the need to tell them. We need to take the bull by it's horns and put him where he belongs. Some are saying if the GFA did it for Gyan, they'll have to do it for the Ayews. 2 wrongs do not make right. Begging Gyan to return was a very wrong move on the part of the GFA but it's already done, it doesn't mean though it's wrong we should keep doing it. That's silly. It's only the fools testicles that can be stepped more than one time. Govenor, you're right "y3 mp3 nkwasia s3m biaaaa again".

I see that Ghanaians like any african people are very arrogant, overbearing and so fort. Moreover, you are not grateful to your national heros. Andre was the Captain fo the black satelites when they won the world under 20 cup. Last year he played with a broken shoulder to help Ghana proceed to the semi final. After that for a yes or a no, he is sent out. The CAN was not beginning the day he missed gathering. What you all should know is: didn't you ever go on strike? When workers go on strike, does it mean they are non patriotic? In a modern nation, any body has the right to protest when his interests are at stake. The way to thank the Ayews is not the one you all advocate here. I were them I shoud retire permanently. Do you see how many stars (great players) Ghana is losing due to nonsical decisions by managers? Bear in mind that they are paid monthly by their clubs and not the nation; and what the nation give them for any match played cannot compensiate the efforts, comparing with clubs' payments. Choosing to pay for a given nation is by the way patriotic. The day the government will badly treat you, you workers, never go on strike and enter bargainings with them. Do accept the situation, because you're patriotic. You continue to support authors of nonsical decisions, that hurts me. Why making great noise if you see that you can do without them. If a player get injeered in Black STARS gathering, does the GFA provied him with medical treatment? If he unfortenately loses his place in his club or get sucked, can you pay him monthly? You talk sa if there were a guarantee for players anytime, wheras no. I think any Gahanaian who estimates himself enough capable of doing the job can take the flag and defend it.

The fact that a somebody has played in the under 20's or does anything for Ghana and been successful doesn't mean we should kotow to any nonsense that he puts across. One person does not form or make Ghana. Some have to be at the fore front, some have to be at the mid section and the background. In the end we all work towards a common goal. In the end, those who stood infront will be seen while those who worked undergorund might not be known but for all you know, the undergorund workers did more so stop what you're saying?
The reason why I'm saying they should be left alone is this. Dede faked injury bços Jordan wasn't invited. He was asked to report for a review and he kept giving excuses. You know pretty well how it ended right. Jordan on the other hand wasn't selected and at his stage he's had the gust to sent his demands to the GFA. Look, these boys are misbehaving, I can go on and on, if you'll know then you should have known so I'll cut it short. I won't take such nonsense. Ghana doesn't pay them much but remember all of them used Ghana to jump start their career. When they're playing for Ghana, they don't loose their contracts in their clubs. They're paid even when they're fulfilling national duties. Once in a while bad things happen. Injury in soccer can not be determined by anyone when it'll happen, be it at club or national level. That's why their clubs want to threat their players even when they got it from national assignments. If you want to fair, simply play back how it begun and say the truth without favoring anyone.

A.Ayew could have been punished by being fined if he still wanted to participate, but total elimination from the squad was too severe a decision and being that harsh is not discipline guy. In any discipline and even area of life, people avoid such decision and ways of reaction. Even if he is presumed to be behaving in support of his younger brother, is that criminal? Let us leave self-pride aside and see thing face to face and without passion. Younger players like the Ayews need support, and advice when their behavior is "deviating" but not harsh decision and grievances. Wise people infere that they are paying for the grievances the coach has with their father. If you supporters don't leave it and call every body to the truth and for the nation's interest, your football will go down. Cameroon is a sharp instance to convince you. At the beginning I also condemn them. I did so to any player who mid-careerly turns his back to his country mentioning the example of Rigobert Song-- the Cameroonese star of football--who always says: my family lives uppon what I earn in playing, so I have to do it with my body and soul. But when I've benn kept abreast of why the coach was taking such decision, I felt down upset. I thing he could have waited till to the closing day of depositing the list of players for the AFCON. After not only the coach but the GFA could fine him severely and the coach bann him forever. But he was eager to sanction him that's why he immediately disqualified him. that's the point.
Anyway, it's you and your team and football. You could march and protest against any gargaining among the Ayews and any Ghanaian officials. It's your right. But doing so, bear in mind that is only self-pride and arrogance. just that and nonthing

And that, true to fact: every good 'oguanhw3fo' does leave the flock in search of the lost one. Isn't it?
I do not support the Ayews for the stand they have taken. B'cos whichever way you look at the situation, they do not have a legitimate case. Their claim is quite preposterous and inconsequential.
All the same, we have to shamefully go down to the level of their thinking swallowing our pride. Knowing, we stand to gain than to lose if we are to use them at this crucial moment lest we face elimination.
I refuse to dwell on the GBS abysmal display at the AFCON.

I believe us Ghanaians we have to be very objective in our utterances. Why are so many of our players having problems with the GFA establishment? We must seriously investigate what the issues are, and not take positions against players who take certain personal decisions. Often we hail insults at athletes who take personal decisions for themselves, but each one of us must ask himself: what have we been able to do for our country? We must give people a break, and when they deviate from our norms we do not perceive them to be unpatriotic. Let us also examine what is going on in the GFA. Are those guys untouchable?

The decision not to include the Ayew brothers in the Squad not even at the bench was very unwise. If you are going to punish footballers do it in such a way that they will feel the punishment whilst at the same time the country benefits. They could have been included in the but on the bench and then used them in critical times. That way the punishment will have been a useful one - killing two birds with one stone. As it stands now the only person who benefited is the one who handed down the punishment and corporate Ghana lost out. The brothers did not feel the punishment. They must be laughing. whenever one is driven by imotions, anger, hatred etc. the end results is failure and disgrace

After all Zambia won the African cup with most of the players from the local side.

If the squard that went to played for ghana at the just ended game in South Africa is what is going to represent ghana in the coming World Cup qualifier, then our GFA guys are sick in their heads. My brother let's becareful because Jordan is as inexperienced as "these players" that you claim are not experience for the WC 2014. The fact of the matter is that as new player (Jordan) you have to see and acknowlege that before you(Jordan) were, there was (GFA). Whether or not GFA needs to clean up their act is up to the Executive committee. However, as new player you feelings and emotions on how things are handle by you superiors will be respected and taking in to consideration in good faith. If we allow players with such pride because of the reputation of their ancestors in GFA, then were are FOR SURE AS NATION HEADING INTO A DISASTER.

Armstrong appears not to have considered this issue dispassionately. Why was Jordan dropped? Because he lost form? Due to indiscipline? I think the authorities should have told Ghanaians. What I heard was that it was a footballing decision. But at the time the Black Stars were called to camp, Jordan was one of our best attackers, perhaps next to only A Djan, considering the number of goals scored. But Jordan was not even called, meaning he was not good enough for Black Stars. So if he says now that he wants to stay out until he improves enough to merit a regular call-up, is he asking to be begged? As for Dede, he had the right to be declared fit by his doctor before reporting for cam, when he was called. Many players' careers have ended prematurely because they relied on medical personnel who did not know their medical history. So if he wanted to be certified by his doctor, what was his crime. For someone who had been in Black Stars since 2008, did he need any justifier before being called to Black Stars/ Note thatwhile Boakye Yiadom, Anthony Annan etc were still under treatment Dede was playing for his team in matches. If the coach had been patient with hm, would he not have been available? But his case was simply a case of the FA and Kwasi Appiah wanting to show him where power lay. He said he was not psychologically prepared to play for Ghana. Does that mean he wants to be begged to play? Let's be objective, when addressing thse issues.

That is not true. The Coach gave him two chances to report to the team and he failed both times. You guys are lying to cover for Dede's real motive for not reporting. He faked the injury and that is why he did not want the Blackstars team Doctor to examine him.
He wanted to report to the Blackstars team on Wednesday January 9th 2013, the same day Coach Appiah was mandated to give his 23 team members name to AFCON officials and the Coach could only have have included Dede without knowing his injury status since Dede had not given the team any clearance from his Doctors that he is ready to play. Coach Appiah had made it clear he was not going to take any injured Player to the AFCON and that was why Muntari too was left out.
Dede was miffed his brother was not chosen and that is why he faked that injury. He did not want to play for the team in South Africa because of his brother's exclusion from the team. Ghana cannot afford Dede to make his own rules. He should be allowed to retire permanently.

All i want soccer fans to understand is, its the game i love. Not the gamers. The gamers makes if more fun. But hey, isn't this the best time for the FA to quit the corruption and dig deeper for even better and committed players who will always wanna be in their National Team colors? Not for the money or the fame but the pride of being a part of it as history will NEVER forget the part u played either positively, or negatively. I 100% side with Mr. Amstrong because the national team does not belong to two players it belongs to players who are committed and want to die for their country. Look at Negerian national team they ignore most of the big names who are very good but are not deciplined and that enabled them win the cup to the suprise of everybody and that is the system we must adopt. If you are not desciplined you are not going to part of the national team and should be punished or axed from the national team so that the players bad behaviour will not have any bad influence on other players and it will also serve as a warning to other players. For me Ghana did not missed their absence at all especially Jordan Ayew. Was he not part of the team that went to Angola and Equitorial Guinea, he did not perform better than those who went to South Africa. In fact we will not loose anything if we loose them they are not the only players we have, there are other players out there who are doing better than them and are knocking the doors of the national team. They should give us a break and I think is about time we stop mentioning their names or talking about is so boring. Thanks

THEN WHY CALL THEM. ASAMOAH GYAN WHO WAS A FLOP IN THE TOURNAMENT WAS LEFT BY THE COACH TO WHILE AWAY TIME DOING NOTHING BUT WAS SCARED TO CHANGED HIM. HE WOULD HAVE CHANGED HIM IF HE HAD GOOD OPTIONS ON THE BENCH AND WOULD NOT HAVE PUSHED KOJO ASAMOAH TO THE LEFT BACK POSITION. GHANIANS SHOULD STOP BRAGGING AND CALL A SPADE A SPADE. KWESI APPIAH REGRETED NOT CALLING THEM BUT FOR THE GHANIAN THAT HE IS WILL NEVER TELL US THE WAY HE FELT ON THAT DAY.LIKE ASAMOAH GYAN WHO WAS BEGGED (2 TIMES) TO PLAY AND MADE THE CAPTAIN ONLY TO GO AND FLOP AND BRAEK OUR HEARTS, WE NEED THE AYEWS. ADOMAH AND BOAKYE YIADOM PROVED NOTHING BETTER THAT WE HAD. PLAYING ONLY ONE FRIENDLY MATCH AND SCORING A GOAL DOES NOT MAKE BOAKYE BETTER THAT JORDAN OVERNITE. COACH WISE UP YOU NEED THEM.

It has never been a practice for GFA to beg players to play for Ghana and they should NOT do so now or ever! If my memory serves me right, in the early 1960s some Black Stars players demanded being paid before playing in a match against Nigeria. The football authorities at the time refused to accede to their demand, and selected a team predominantly made up of players from Academicals (the national secondary schools team) and Black Stars Team B. Only four of the regular Black Stars played in that match yet the makeshift team of inexperienced players went to Lagos and beat the Green Eagles 3-2. If we can win with a mediocre team why should we beg the so-called star-players. Begging players undermines discipline and we should avoid it, no matter what!

Ghanaians take players and they kill them , Look at Asamoah Gyan , look at the wonderful hes done for Ghana and look at the things youve done to him , If you guys treated the players like they are worth something , this wont happen , look at the way England praise their players , Ghanaians dont do that , all you do is bring them down when they make a mistake

As I read through these comments I'm not surprise why current issues with the Ayews are surfacing at GFA. Many rush to judgement without the due diligence and not knowing the root cause(s). We are quick to condemn and jump to conclusion and likely to face similar problem down the road. These behaviors plague every facet of out society and the sooner we do something it the better it will be for all us. We can begin by asserting: GRACIOUS ASSUMPTION; I believe all parties involved are good people, the players, coaches and administrators alike so enough about the berating comments and the rush to judgement.

Who told you Arsene Wenger wants DEDE? If Arsenals want him, and DEDE has said he wants to play in the EPL, he would have forced a trade. No English Premier league wants him. Who told you that? You believe all the trash published here. If Arsenals wanted DEDE, they would have gone for him. Marseile is not among the top 15 teams in the world.

What about John Paintsil, Derick Boateng and Anthony Annang? Even Kojo Asamoah and Agyemang Badu can all be classifiend as eperienced players for Ghana. Where are the so called eperienced players the coach ignored? Essien, Muntari or John Mensah? Apart from Muntari who was injured, would you invite Essien or John Mensah for AFCON in their present form? Please Ghanaian fans, let's give our coaches some room to operate. Finishing fourth on a continent of about 54 countries is not that bad for a first-timer substantive coach! I think it is a good first attempt.
I also support the idea of leaving pompous players to retire since they can even deliberately cause our downfall when they are 'forced' to play. Let those who need the exposure come and allow the 'accomplished' to neglect Ghana.

Thanks for your comment, Iddris. I am not sure that the GFA went begging Gyan with the Captain's armband. And I made a general statement about begging players to represent their nation. For me, it is a source of IMMENSE PRIDE TO DO ANYTHING ON BEHALF OF YOUR NATION. And there are so many QUALITY PLAYERS OUR THERE JUST WAITING FOR A CHANCE TO WEAR THAT BEAUTIFUL JERSEY AND DO US PROUD. So, like I said in one earlier post, let us by all means speak to the players and understand their challenges; and giving them a hearing and discussing their challenges with them towards getting a pragmatic solution is certainly not begging: But we must not beg them. That would set a bad precedent. As to your tone, we all have different ways in which we express ourselves so I will leave it at that. Thanks. We are all trying our best to contribute our little bit to the development of Ghana Football.

Do you beg doctors not to go on strike? In HR labour is begged for. Beg for labour and achieve your aim. If you do not want to beg then, do not snub them.
Investigate this issue properly and find the course of it.It looks like there is a remote course for the two brothers to behave this way.
Do nor beg them.
Prince boateng started this.
not prince boateng is GFA STARTED it by appointing a very weak coach who doesn't know any tactical football. who should waste his time playing under him.

Discipline is important in every administration so if these boys feel big let them play for their father's team. Are they better than Muntari, Prince Boateng, Adiya, Inkoom and others
It is childish to beg players to play for Ghana.
Whoever brings back these feel too big boys back to Black Star will regret because, I will make sure they don't play ball again just like Baba Yara and I mean it.
