Elmina Sharks gain promotion to First Division

Elmina Sharks booked their passport to Division One when they beat Kasoa Top Talents 1-0 in the finals of the Central Region Division Two Super Zonal’s Tournament at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.

The match winner came in the 28th minute through Isaac Quayson who converted a spot kick awarded them in the 27th minute.

Nana Kojo Condua IV, Omanhene of Edina Traditional Area and Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, a leading member of the CPP were among the dignitaries at the stadium to cheer the Club to victory.

Mr Matthew Doe, Central Regional Chairman of the Ghana Football Association presented the championship trophy to Elmina Sharks and wished them well in their new status.

Eight Division Two Clubs comprising Elmina Sharks, Kasoa Top Talents, Swedru All Blacks, Feyenoored Academy, K. Dom F/C, Mighty Youngsters, Brighten Stars and Unity Stars participated in the competition.
