Aduana Stars Release Dong Bortey For Emirates Adventure

Footyghana.com has learnt that Aduana Stars winger Bernard Dong Bortey is travelling tonight to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a bid to land a contract with a yet-to-be-named team.

According to our sources, Dong Bortey, a target for Asante Kotoko before the registration deadline elapsed three days ago, has already collected his passport from the Ghana Football Association after producing a letter of release from Aduana Stars.

The club’s operations chief, George Gyawu told footyghana.com that an agent is brokering the deal. ‘The agent told us that the success of the deal hinges on Bernard’s presence there and so we gave him a release letter and we hope he clinches the deal.’

Dong Bortey, who has had stints with Hearts of Oak and Ghapoha Readers in the past, has been on several trips outside the country looking for contracts but has so far not been successful. This trip, according to our sources, could be different.
