Some statements in scriptures are discriptions to give picture, since the writers might not know our current wording or experience. Daniel simply was the Lord in babylon under Nebuchanezzer's Kingship. Without the King the Lord takes over. Reserve for the person to explain the Savior Lord God properly to give room for the proper gospel, which had deteriorated over the years by priest and chalatans for self seeking affluent workers in iniguities. It becomes like financial investment with all sorts of military agendas, which the Savior Lord spoke against to HIS initial 11, excluding the demised. Banabas was an election from Peter leadership.
