There was honesty in our society, and people had respect for each other until Christianity was forced on the them.

Christianity has nothing to do with God. Na lie. Remember that, a fish rots from the head.

I have waited for so long for this truth to be told. the hypocrisy of filled up churches and the reality of "masa put something on the table/your boys are hungry" of civil servants wanting to live like CEOs and the church remains silent because if they talk they will lose contributions. A country where everybody feels entitled to a good life irrespective of their jobs, education, and training. Hmmm

I would like to add a little to buttress what has already been said in the homily.
The greatest problem we have as humans is sin and its subsequent effects of "rot" such as venality, adultery, stealing, lying, murder, alcoholism, smoking, drug pedaling etc. which seem so ubiquitous in our society today.
But God revealed a provision He had made before the foundation of the earth to save us from our sins in Eden (Genesis 3:15) by giving us His Son, Jesus (for He shall save His people from their sins --Matthew 1:21), to show us "The Way, The Truth, and The Life" (John 14:6) of a saved people in "the fullness of time" (Galatians 4:4).
The diagnosis of many a Christian is his belief system. He feels at home in the culture of the sins of the flesh. His attitude about sin is that "I cannot stop sinning completely". Thus denying the mediation of meritorious power of Christ's grace to overcome sin in his life.
"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." Romans 6:14
GOD PERFECTS US IN THE DAILY GROWTH IN SANCTIFICATION-- THE IDOLS OF THE SINS OF THE FLESH HAVE TO GO NOW.
"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."
There was honesty in our society, and people had respect for each other until Christianity was forced on the them.
