Steve, the bishop is not "preaching his views on this platform." As the Episcopal Chairman of Education of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, it was his duty and responsibility, and the appropriate forum to advise and remind heads of Catholic institutions about what is expected of them by the Church. Please learn to respect that.

The Bible says we do not have to CROSSBREED MIX WOOL AND LINEN ,CROPS TOGETHER, so if they want to attend those schools they should choose one period.

My father of blessed memory even though intelligent, could not continue his education in Hohoe in the late 30`s because he was not a catholic but an EP. I just want to find out if our relationship with Jesus Christ and the eventual salvation is based on doctrines or on love even for people of different faith?

The Most Rev Gyamfi, comments that catholic institutions should never be sacrificed on the basis of satisfying people of other religious faiths is very unwise and unreasonable.
the question we ask the catholic bishops conference is that, why did they allow government to take over or part in the management of those institutions?. this church leaders should note that the catholic church is not and can never be bigger than the constitution of the Republic of Ghana. they can only say that in Rome.
governments are sworn in to protect and defend the constitution of Ghana, which clearly makes freedom of worship its core pillar.
please you can do better than this outrageous religious intolerance speeches you make.
we fed up with you guys take your institutions and manage them as missions schools devoid of government support and see whether you can run them.
remember its task payers money government use in paying all the teachers in the schools which does not discriminate/ separate catholic or other religious denominations moneys.

Well said Naa-zo Zaid. As long as these mission schools receive Govt funding, they must every Ghanaian student to enroll in their mission schools solely on their own merit, regardless of their religious or ethnic background. Having stated that, these students of other religious denominations should not be coerced to worship at the missionary church.

If the Catholic church was so interested in upholding their values, they would have sacked all the paedophile priest who have been defiling young boys and girls. The problem we all have in this world is selective morality. If the Catholic church was some minor religious institution, they would have been shut down for all the abuses they have caused to innocent children. Why should the church take money from government and turn round and say the government should put aside the constitutional right of freedom of worship to please the church. What will happen to the mission school if they show tolerance and maturity and set aside a place for other religious students to observe their prayer during Sunday worship. Do you think the stupidity in Saudi Arabia and Pakistani are good examples. Pakistan came to be in this mess because of religious intolerance. Please stop being hypocrites. When Christians go to TI Ahmadiyya schools they are not forced to go to mosques.

Muslims should stop talking of the constitution. Mind you no one envisaged this agitation from muslims. Let the issue be tabled for review and if indeed the people frame the constitution you will see the result. Whatever happens, I am sure this matter will crop up very seriously in any future constitution review. Minority can not dictate with majority view. The Christians used their monies to establish their schools and any imposition from politicians will not do anything good to society. Let the peoples' will prevail.
