The first thing the church does is to give you a European name under the guise of stupid christian name and when the people start behaving as Europeans, the same pastors turn around and claim the people are having identity crises.
Every society's believe system has to be accordance with their culture, and their rulers/kings/chiefs has to be the ones intercede with the god nature for them.
The only way this relationship can be usurped is when the people are conquered and the strangers strange believe system is forced on the people and if their rulers are not in line with the new believe system, a parallel society is created and our chiefs and their culture that best described us as people are on one road while the new believers and the gate keepers representing the conquering forces are on another road. The gate keepers put on suit to preach their followers wear the same suit to church, same with the African muslim copying Arabs.The gate keeper becomes the new chief/king/queen to the new Euro-African.
The only way the African king can have his people back is to drive the new believe system away be it christianity or islam.

Even some of our elected officials and leaders attribute some of the challenges facing the nation to God instead of offering real explanations and solutions. Wake up Ghana from your long slumber. This religion is not imposed on people. For that matter one may either choose to become a member or not. But if one chooses to become a christian then one has to to obey or or what the bible teaches. Thank God most countries of the world including Ghana enjoy freedom of worshi . If therefore one is talking about Christianity and one is not a christian then one has to be less or not to be concerned may be at all. However there are many gods in the universe besides the God of creation. Anybody is free to choose the type God /gods one will worship. But then if anyone stands on the platform of Christianity and twists or tries to twist the facts of Christianity as enshrined in the bible then members or a member can set the record straight. But if one is not a member of the religion and so the bible is a strange book to and therefore not knowledgeable about the religion then one's contribution in a christian debate may be out of touch. If one really has a problem with his/her own culture, then he must stop practising it! That person must stop in performing Akan naming ceremonies, stop conducting funerals in the Akan fashion, stop pouring libation, stop engaging in Akan festivals such as Akwasidae, stop the practise of customary marriages, even stop bearing an Akan soul/day names, since they have a spiritual connection to the cosmology of the Akan people. They must also avoid praising Nyame/Nyankopon since this is how the Akans referred to their creator.They must stop practising all aspects of their culture.One cannot say I embrace my culture, but I reject the spiritual aspect of it. This is not possible, one does not exist without the other.

Still until today, our MMUSUYIDEE symbol is seen as the main symbol of the whole german military force. Also the Akan symbol of KARAFOKOMA one of our impotant royal insignia is seen in a big shape on the ground in Pentagon with the inscription (intelligence Agency of the United states of America). How come our ancient spiritual symbol becomes a property of the United States?

In order to plant their religion which was Christianity they demonized the native religions. African indigenous religions have strict moral codes, better than Christianity. Our ancestors knew God, we do not need any other God again because the christians themselves belief there is one God. We can be Christians but we should not throw our culture away and we should use our brains as well. We can pour libation as a form of prayer to our ancestors.
