Let me use this opportunity to educate on the teachings of the Bible and not the church. The death of Jesus is just an assumption because the disciples of Jesus who are in right position to tell us the true matter of the event "all forsook him and ran away" (Mark 14:50). We also read in the Bible that any body who is hang on a cross is an accursed of God (Deut 21:23). God saved Jesus from the evil plans of the enemies whe he (Jesus) supplicate to God to save him from them and God answered him. Refer to Matt 26:39-42 "he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face (like the Muslims do) and prayed, O my father, if it is possible, let this cup (death) pass (away) from me; never the less not as I will, but as thou wilt" this supplication of Jesus was heard by God in Luke 22:43 "An Angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him".
come to think of this; your religion teaches that God is so unforgiving that He could not forgive man for the sins Adam and Eve committed, so He had to turn himself, after 5000 years later, into a human to be killed in order to be able to forgive mankind. Is this not utter nonsense? But Muhammad preached that God is most forgiving and He forgives those who sincerely stop their evil ways and return to him with repentance, you don’t need blood to be forgiven. Compare this and what your church (not the Bible) preaches and see which one is appealing to human logic.
I however want to use this opportunity to educate u about what the Qur’an says about Jesus Christ. If you read it with open heart and mind, u will be able to tell genuinely whether the Qur’an is false or it is of God sent to mankind through His last and final prophet and messenger. The Christian does not know that the true spirit of charity which the Muslim displays, always, towards Jesus and his mother Mary spring from the fountainhead of this faith - the Holy Quran. The Christian does not know that the Muslim does not take the holy name of Jesus, in his own language, without saying Eesa, alaihi assalam ("Jesus, peace be upon him"), we revere Jesus perhaps more authentically than those who claim that he is God or those who claim that he is the son of God.
The Christian does not know that in the Holy Quran Jesus is mentioned twenty five times. For example:
"We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit" (The Holy Quran 2:87)
"O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary..." (3:45)
"...Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of God..." (4:171)
"...And in their footsteps we sent Jesus the son of Mary..." (5:46)
"And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias (Elisha): all in the ranks of the righteous." (6:85)
Though Jesus is mentioned by name in twenty-five places in the Holy Quran, he is also addressed with respect as: Ibn Maryam, meaning "The son of Mary"; and as the Maseeh (in Hebrew it is the Messiah), which is translated as "Christ". He is also known as Abdullah, "The servant of Allah"; and as Rasul u Allah, the messenger of Allah.
He is spoken of as "The Word of God", as "The Spirit of God", as a "Sign of God", and numerous other epithets of honor spread over fifteen different chapters. The Holy Quran honors this mighty messenger of God, and the Muslims have not fallen short over the past fourteen hundred years in doing the same. There is not a single disparaging remark in the entire Quran to which even the most jaundiced among the Christians can take exception.
The Holy Quran refers to Jesus as Eesa, and this name is used more times than any other title, because this was his "Christian" name. Actually, his proper name was Eesa (Arabic), or Esau (Hebrew); classical Yeheshua, which the Christian nations of the West Latinized as Jesus. Neither the "J" nor the second "s" in the name Jesus is to be found in the original tongue - they are not found in the Semitic languages.
The word is very simply "E S A U" a very common Jewish name, used more than sixty times in the very first booklet alone of the Bible, in the part called "Genesis". There was at least one "Jesus" sitting on the "bench" at the trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin. Josephus the Jewish historian mentions some twenty five Jesus' in his "Book of Antiquities". The New Testament speaks of "Bar-Jesus" a magician and a sorcerer, a false prophet (Acts 13:6); and also "Jesus-Justus" a Christian missionary, a contemporary of Paul (Colossians 4:11). These are distinct from Jesus the son of Mary. Transforming "Esau" to (J)esu(s) - Jesus - makes it unique. This unique (?) name has gone out of currency among the Jews and the Christians from the 2nd century after Christ. Among the Jews, because it came to be a name of ill - repute, the name of one who blasphemed in Jewry; and among the Christians because it came to be the proper name of their God. The Muslim will not hesitate to name his son Eesa because it is an honored name, the name of a righteous servant of the Lord.
The birth of Jesus Christ is described in two places of the Quran - chapter 3 and chapter 19. Reading from the beginning of his birth, we come across the story of Mary, and the esteemed position which she occupies in the House of Islam, before the actual annunciation of the birth of Jesus is given:
"'Behold'! the angels said: 'O Mary! God hath chosen thee and purified thee, and chosen thee above the women of all nations" (3:42)
"Chosen thee above the women of all nations." Such an honor is not to be found given to Mary even in the Christian Bible! And if Muhammad wanted to be famous he would have given this honour to his mother. The verse continues:
"O Mary! Worship thy Lord devoutly: prostrate thyself, and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down." (3:43)
What is the source of this beautiful and sublime recitation which, in its original Arabic, moves men to ecstasy and tears? verse 44 below explains:
"This is part of the tidings, of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Muhammad!) by inspiration: Thou wast not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point)." (3:44)

THE DOCTRINE OF THE DIVINITY OF JESUS CHRIST
Q:Is jesus God?
Christian:Yes.In the Gospel according 2 John (1:1):"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,and the Word was God."
It is universally agreed that a holy scripture, inspired by God;the all knowing, should not contain contradictions. If there are two conflicting verses, then only one can be true; both can never be true or both are wrong.
Jesus is then God according to John 1:1. Then how many Gods are there? Two at least. This is then in contradiction with many passages in the Bible:(Deuteronomy 4:39):"...that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath:there is no one else";(Deuteronomy 6:4):"Hear,O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord";(Isaiah 43:10-11):"...that ye may know and believe me,and understand that I am he:before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.I,even I,am the Lord;and beside me there is no saviour";(Isaiah 44:6):"Thus saith the Lord...I am the first, and I am the last;and beside me there is no God";(Isaiah45:18):"For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it;he hath established it,he created it not in vain,he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord;and there is none else."
From Isaiah 45:18 alone we can conclude that God alone was the Creator and no one else, not even Jesus, participated in the creation.

I beg to differ with you, Imam Faisal. You err not knowing the Scriptures. All the texts you have quoted were spoken by the preincarnate Christ. While living in his incarnate state, as his custom was, he would engage a conversation with people who wanted to know about his mission. One day he happened to engage the Pharisees and Scribes in a conversation. Observe well to understand:
"Jesus said unto them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am (I "am" from the infinitive verb "to be" --an indication of his preexistence)." John 8:58. No human being can claim preexistence.
Cover-to-cover, the Bible reveals Christ as the Initiator and Ratifier of God's covenant of grace (Isaiah 40:6; 1 Corinthians 11:25). Note well: God is more than the mathematical axiom of 1+1+1=3, which we know from school. All natural laws, the language of mathematics and its laws originated from him. Simply put, He is above all that He created, its knowledge and all which he had given to humans. He has revealed himself in various ways in the past and the present.
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high"
Hebrews 1:1-3.
A love Stronger than Death
In the Bible we see God saving man in the revealed image of a "Son", who will do for man what he cannot do for himself as a sinner (Romans 8:7-8). Christ the sinless One-- without the weakness of sin--will stake his deity to redeem man without ever sinning, and leave man an example of how to live before God. He will shed his blood as a token that he fulfilled the charge of the covenant which his father assigned him. Throughout eternity Jesus will still have the nail prints in his hands to show to the redeemed the cost of their redemption.
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
John 5:38.
The greatest proof of Christ's life as God-- his preexistence as God, his sinless life, his presence in heaven as man's redeemer and advocate (lawyer) for his people in heaven's law court.
Many Witnesses of the Savior's ministry. Unlike many eastern religions which have only one prophet whom their god revealed his will, Christianity had many witnesses, and prophets.
"Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus" Luke 1:1-3.
"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name" John 20:30-31.

MASTER I ALSO BEG TO DIFFER DUE TO THE FOLLOWING REASONS
First of all I thought you would have said that Jesus said “Before Adam, I am” because we all know that Adam was the first man to be created by God not Abraham, any way that is just by the way.
For a proper understanding of the teachings of Jesus, it is important to examine properly who he was, in what capacity he taught and what his mission was. The answers are given by Jesus himself as recorded the Gospel writings of the new testament; I will mention some points I have come across in the Bible concerning who Jesus really was.
The New Testament refers many times to Jesus as God's servant (see Matthew. 12:18 for example). Now read Acts 2:22: "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know." How then could Jesus be God's servant and God at the same time? Read John 17:21, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me”, and you will deduce that if God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost form one unity of the Trinity, then with the disciples included they should form a God unity of fifteen (15).
Some Christians do quote John 14:9 to support their argument that Jesus is God; " ...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father." Now let's read John 4:24: "God is a Spirit..." and John 5:37: " ...ye have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His shape." And 1 Timothy 6:16: " ...whom no man hath seen nor can see...."
What the disciples saw was Jesus, the Prophet, and not God. John 5:37: " ...ye have neither heard His (God) voice at any time, nor seen His shape," also contradicts Matthew 3:17 in which it is said that God was heard saying "this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
At this point let me mention what the Quran (5:73) says about the Trinity: "They disbelieve who say: Allah is one ofthree (In a Trinity) for there is no god except One God.If they desist notfrom their word (ofblasphemy), verily a grievous chastisement will befall the disbelievers among them. "
It is common knowledge that the divinity of Jesus was introduced by Paul, who never met Jesus or his followers,
In the New Testament, Jesus specifically said (Matthew 5:17 & 18): "Think not that I come to destroy the law or the prophets, I come not to destroy but to fulfill..." he came not to destroy the law, and he confirms that in relationship to the oneness of God in Mark 12:29: "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, 0 Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." And 1 Corinthians 8:4: " ...none other God but one."
Jesus made it very clear that Salvation is through keeping God's commandments, following his teachings, doing righteous deeds and repentance from sin. These are the only requirements of salvation. If we read in Mathew 19:17 a man who wants to go to heaven asked Jesus, 'Good master, what things must I do to enter life eternally (in paradise), Jesus rebuked the man and said "why do you call me good? There is only one who is good, but if you wish to enter in to life eternally in heaven, keep the commandments" Here Jesus did not the tell the man that he (Jesus) will die for him but rather to keep the commandments. It means that salvation is dependent on one’s actions and not on the death of somebody.
We also read in John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent". Also in Mathew 5:20 "For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and the pharasees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" and in Luke 13:3 "No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all perish as they did".
But Paul presented a very simplistic formula to attain salvation , which is in sharp contrast to the teachings of Jesus Christ as we read in Romans 10:9 " That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from dead, you will be saved" this means you need not do any work, you can commit Robbery, fornicate, or do anything evil, the sin involved in all these crimes have been paid for already by Jesus Christ, the only condition for you to be saved is to confess that Jesus died for you. But Jesus warned those 'Christians' who do not follow him in Mathew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my father in heaven. On that day (i.e. Judgment day) many will say to me 'Lord, Lord', did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name? Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you evil doers".
It is clear that Jesus never claimed divinity to God but referred to himself as ‘son of man’: "When you have lifted up the son of man, then you will realize that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own, ...(John 8:28). "For the son of man came to seek out and to save the lost" (Luke 19:10). "My Father is greater that I," (John 14:28); In John 5:30 “ I can’t of my own self do nothing…”. Then Further, Luke 4:1-13 tell us that Jesus was tempted by Satan for forty days. In James 1:13, it says: " ...for God cannot be tempted with evil..."
Jesus also referred himself as 'a man' "but now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth" (John 8:40).
Jesus presented himself as a prophet and a messenger of God, and a representative of the kingdom of heaven. He invited his people to follow him in that capacity only: "Yet today, tomorrow, and the next day I must be on my way, because it is impossible for a PROPHET to be killed outside of Jerusalem" (Luke 13:33). "But Jesus said to the 'A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown, and among his own kin, and in his own house' (Mark 6:4). Also, his people did recognize him as a prophet of God "The crowds answered 'This is Jesus, the PROPHET form Nazareth in Galilee" (Mathew 21:11).
"Jesus answered them, 'My teaching is not mine, but his who SENT ME' (John 7:16). and in Mark 9:37 "...and whoever welcomes me, welcomes not me, but the one who SENT ME". and in John 12:49 "...for I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who SENT ME has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak".
Jesus believed in the worship of God alone, and made it the ultimate aim of all his activities. For example, in Mathew 4:10 "Worship the Lord your God and serve him only". Also, in John 4:34 "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to complete his work".
Before closing this subject, let me present one more thought. In Luke 5:16, when Jesus withdrew himself into the wilderness to pray, who did he pray to? Himself or God? Read Luke 11 :24: And he said unto them, "W'hen ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done,as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil."
Is there anywhere in this prayer that Jesus said to say, "In Jesus name" when you pray? For this prayer was the answer to the question; how should we pray? Everything a God fearing person could ever need or ask of God is in this prayer. Most importantly, the forgiveness of our trespasses (sins). This prayer supports the good news of Jesus that sins are forgiven by God only if a person repents and stop their wrong doings. This message was the beginning of Jesus' ministry as stated in Matthew 4:17: From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Mr. Imam Faisal, I see you quote texts very easily without an understanding of the contexts. The texts in the Bible are like links in a composite chain. Sometimes a text/passage given by one prophet will be amplified with explanation to another prophet years later such as we see the Books of Daniel and the Revelation regarding the 1260 day prophecy. Unlike the Koran, the Bible is studied to ascertain the thought God has put in the various texts, so that one can inculcate the teaching in the lifestyle.
As the word of God, one prays for an understanding before it is studied --"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little" Isaiah 28:10.
Please read my commentary again. Take time to familiarize yourself with the contexts and you will agree with me that in Christ, God proved to the animate universe that His love is greater than death.

I believe the Bible is in the English language that we all speak. We all should try to interrogate very well the references I have alluded to in the Bible not in the Qur’an and should not just be thrown overboard; otherwise we lose the substance of those issues raised. I have attempted to select and arrange these pertinent informations from your holy book. I encourage that we all set aside our pre-conceived notions about Christianity and Islam, and have an open mind for what is presented. It is my hope (By Allah's Will) that this effort will open before us a spark of interest that would enable us to continue to read beyond the Bible, and make an educated decision after understanding both religions. A decision that is would be based on our choice and not the choice of our parents or the media. Once we have all the facts, we can then align ourselves with the only purpose we were created, and that is to worship (Allah) God.
Given the fact that there has never been in the history of the Torah (Old Testament) for the religion of God to be named after a Prophet (i.e:, Adamanity, Abrahamity, Mosanity, etc.), I hope to explain that Jesus did not preach the religion of Christianity, but a religion that gives all Praise and Worship to The One God. One of the questions I asked myself as I took an objective look at Christianity is; where did the word Christianity come from and was the word ever mentioned by Jesus? Well, I did not find the word Christianity in the Bible, not even in a Bible dictionary. Specifically, I did not find in the Bible where Jesus called himself a Christian.
The word Christian was first mentioned by a pagan to describe those who followed Jesus. It is mentioned one of three times in the New Testament by a pagan and Jews in Antioch about 43 A.D., (Acts 11 :26, Acts 26:28 and 1 Peter 4:16) long after Jesus had left this earth. To accept the words of pagans as having any value or association with divinity, Jesus or God is contrary to the teachings of all prophets.
Jesus prophesied that people will worship him uselessly and believe in doctrines made by men (Matthew 15:9): "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." This verse, Matthew 15:9, is further supported by these words of the Quran, 5: 116 - 117: "And behold! Allah will say: '0 Jesus, son of Mary, didst thou say unto men, 'Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?" He (Jesus) will say: "Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right. Had I said such a thing Thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowst what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. Never said I to aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, "Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord': And I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things."
I found that Biblical verses like John 5:30, John 12:49, John 14:28, Isaiah 42:8 and Acts 2:22 support the above-mentioned verses of the Quran. Before I end my comment for this time, I should mention one small, but significant, point of observation. If Christians are "Christ-like," why are they not greeting each other with the words; Peace Be With You (Salamu Alaikum), as Jesus did in Luke 24:36. As you may be aware, the greeting from one Muslim to another Muslim is Assalamu Alaikum; a Christ-like saying. I rest my case for now.
