To begin with, some people have used scientific discoveries and astronomical findings to debunk the claim in the Bible that the earth was created some few thousands of years ago.
You could also remember how great minds in the ancient days were killed or ostracized because their scientific claims were at variance with biblical claims.
E.g, One Lutheran minister termed Copernicus as the fool who wanted to turn the world of astronomy upside down simply because his concept of heliocentric solar system (that the earth and other planetary bodies revolved around the sun)was contrary to the biblical claim that the earth was static and was the center of the universe.
However, if those Christians had read the Quran, they would have realized that what Copernicus was saying had somehow been mentioned in the Quran---that the planetary bodies are revolving
It's one of the reasons why the Author is using science to prove the authenticity of the Quran all because too many times science has been the tool used to prove religion as a

We were told an atom was the smallest indivisible particle of an element that can take part in a chemical reaction.
Now years later science came back and said oops, we told a lie. So your claim of science being cemented on empirical evidence is a 'so-so' claim. Many times, they are also wrong.

The Genesis accounts pays particular attention to our planet Earth, among all the other planets(both known and unknown), because it is the planet that God conditioned or prepared for our habitation and life, in general.
The Earth existed very long in a formless state, and God, by the power of his HOLY SPIRIT and his WORD caused it to be ordered.
The articles presented by Husseini Yushau are very scholarly, yet do not authenticate anything as you want us to believe. I have watched documentaries of beautiful Scientific discoveries which the presenters, in their effort tried to prove or authenticate some verses, also.
However, if you are very rooted in the Bible, you will discover that the Scriptures has many texts that support these Scientific discoveries.
I encourage you to google things for yourself, and not relying on what an ignorant (in the Bible) Professor has said or written somewhere. Look, there are a lot of Academicians, who do not know that God has given humanity Eternal Life and that the Eternal Life is in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
Also, remember that the OT writings had been in existence 1000 years and over, as at the period of around 600AD. Even the last book of the OT(book of Malachi) was barely over 1000 years by the 7th Century. Curious Arabs, in those times were familiar with the writings of Moses, the Psalms and the Prophets, especially when the Jews had been in captivity or diaspora.
The issue of Galileo, the Church, and the Bible was something that rather rumbled between adherents of Copernican science and Aristotelian science at the time, and how the Church, which funded academicians at that time, apparently became entangled in it.

We should be thankful to the Lord for easy availability of the Scriptures. Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but his WORD shall never pass away.
It is important for you to be sure of all things.Even if a pastor or a man of God says something we have to search Scriptures whether they reconcile, because on that day is not about what someone told you, but what God through his WORD has instructed you to follow.
I have come across a lot religious academicians who are in disillusion and always arguing against the Scriptures.
In your consideration, think of it this way. First, it is an indisputable fact that the true God is the one who covenanted with Israel.
Secondly, if so, take time and with all the attention that is needed, read the OT, the very writings that Christ read, quoted from etc.
Then go through the NT, you will discover that it has quotations and references pointing to the true identity of the Messiah, the one who atoned for the sins of the world.
It is the knowledge in the Hebrew Scriptures that you are to use to guide yourself from the 1st Century till today.
If you claim you believe in Jesus, then I expect you to be Baptized, and acknowledged for who he is, according as is written in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Jesus says you will know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free. Jesus says whoever does not honor him, does not honor the Father who sent him. How then do you hour him, when you do not even know that He is the Son of God.
Jesus says. no one comes to the Son, except the Father draws that person to him. And the Father does so by the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
