I can't agree more with the Archbishop. All that the Muslim students need is a place of worship in the school. The students' demand is absurd. Will they agree if Christians in a Muslim school also demand a Church building? Certainly somebody is foisting a hidden agenda on the school so as to engender sectarian sentiments.

The position of the bishop must be supported and maintained. Knowing muslims for who they have always been, they will never rest until they get their dictates done. Every missionary school should follow the example of the anglican church on this issue as any little compromise to accommodate muslims in the name of tolerance is often interperated to mean weakness which emboldens them to make more irrational demands.
In any case, are they the only people in the school who are not satisfied with the status quo? Why are christians belonging to other denominations not complaining but only muslims? Why can't they compromise but always demanding that others should, to satisfy them?
I believe the initial position of the anglican church was that no other church or religion should have a place of worship on their campus. But upon agitating and lobbing through politicians they got the anglican church to compromise by providing them a makeshift structure where they can worship. After seeing how weak the church has been by compromising on their initial position they are now demanding for a mosque. When they get that, they will begin to complain about the absence of islamic scriptures in the school's library. If for the sake of peace the authorities allow the stocking of the library with their scriptures, they will complain that the christian scriptures are not holy enough to be in the same library with theirs. Then they will have their way. And after that they will demand that non muslims in the school should choose between accepting the religion of peace or have their heads chopped off.
You are the biggest fool on earth If you think you can win their love and gratitude by dancing to their whims and caprices. They will never appreciate you as long as you remain an infidel.
The freedom of worship they are trumpeting on has a limitation. You cannot wake up at 4:00 AM and announce your useless prayers on loud speakers in the name of freedom of worship, especially in a christian school. That would disturb other students. When I was in secondary school in Tamale, I never had a good sleep because of their don prayers which often woke me up very early in the morning. It affected my studies and altered my lifestyle to the extend that several years after completing school, I still wake up at around 4:00AM almost every day.
That was a state school in a muslim setting. Now you want to replicate this behavior in a christian school?

Denying them this simple demand and claiming that you have offered them a place to pray is nothing but mere hypocrisy. If you don't want them to build the mosque there then build it for them as you have build church for the Christians. Is there anything in the bible that prohibit a mosque structure in a christian school? This refusal is clearly based on your emotions and does not promote the religious tolerance that is required for peaceful co-existence between moslems and Christians.

It has to be understood that, in all fairness and rigidity (uncompromising), the Institute is acclaimed Christian School, and it has to be respected as such.
The authorities have a responsibility towards God and humanity to aspire raise the Children up in the fear of God and in obedience to Christ.
There cannot be compromise about the Faith that we adhere to. Some Mission schools provide halls for non denominational gatherings (for people to Worship in a manner typical of any Pentecostal setting), and that is understandable since it is within the broader knowledge of the use of Scriptures, the believe in the atonement of Christ Jesus, Baptism(immersion) and everything pertaining to godliness as in Scriptures.
It is for our good that the inspired writings of the Jewish prophets have been handed down to us, writings that Christ himself has come to put his stamp on it to prove it authenticity.
We are to be a channel of blessing to humanity, and the way we conduct ourselves in the fear of God(the covenant God of Israel) and in obedience to Christ is very important. Angels are keeping track of everything that we do!

Now. what are factors to consider in sitting a school. what measure are put in place to enhance learning and who are the customer of the school. are we meeting the satisfaction of our customers?
