The first language happen to be samerians. Not counting the picture langae its caught up there with China. If so then the possibility of there being one language at the time was there this could have happend fast with a small window of opportunity. There is historical evidence for Noah's flood and this evidence shows it happened a long time ago Very long time ago in fact this story was spred around China Africa Europe mainly in Africa. This article is ludicrous. The person who made this is just exposing his ignorance about the Biblical view of the confusion of the language in the tower of Babel. He missed to put emphasis on a very important question he should have asked to himself seriously and put some effort to analyze it before arriving to his absurd conclusion and before saying" The Logic and inferences of the narrative regarding why God stopped the project also do not add up or make any sense"rather he neglected it as you can see from his post.He didnt even give the reason why he said that.it should be understood that you can't find the answer to this question using explanations from the jargon of the so called "science" specially from the Mindless evolution that for how many years until now has not been proven scientifically particularly the "Macro evolution".it issurprising that this theory is accepted as truth in the universities.

In Genesis 11:4 you can see their true puspose for building the Tower."they said, Now let's build a City with a Tower that reaches the sky,so that we can make a name for ourselves" -they wanted to be known and exalt their selves, that's IDOLATRY.Then the verse continues to say"and not be scattered all over the earth" that is a Direct Disobedience to what God has commanded them From Noah in Genesis 9:1 "Be fruitful and multiply and REPLENISH the EARTH."The reason for this phenomenon was Personal between the Sovereign God and Disobedient people. The event was a demonstration of God's Judgement for people who doesnt believe in the Most High God.
The Bible is not trying to prove that the language diversions started and can be traced back at the Tower But rather, it simply reveals "Why" there was a confusion of language During the construction of the Babel Tower.
As to the Gigantic towers and huge machines of today, there is no need for God to stop people from building and creating them.God was successful for scattering human beings.
