Agya Koo owes nobody an apology - Manager

The office of ace actor Kofi Adu has solemnly fire salvos at veteran actor Bob Smith Jnr for asking him to apologize for claiming to revive the film industry from its abyss.

The Manager of the actor Ernest Atta Abaogye has thrown verbal punches at the modus-operandi of some industry players telling them in the face that they do not owe any one apology.

His comments came a day after veteran actor Bob Smith Jnr, popularly known as Diabolo asked colleague, Agya Koo, to apologize for claiming that he redeemed the image of a ‘dying’ Ghana movie industry.

Bob Smith Jnr believes the comment that he revived the industry is never true. “I don’t know why he said that nor what he was asked. But if he did with pride, he should apologize. You are an actor, you paid your dues; but to say you revived it, I disagree,” he said on Hitz FM.

But in a quick rebuttal the Manager of Agya Koo, Ernest Atta Aboagye stated that his client owes nobody an apology.

‘’We all agree that he revived Ghana movie because days when Nigeria movies took over the Ghanaian market, his movies like Asoreba, Nsem Pii , old soldier etc. by miracle films that starred him resurrected the image of Ghana movie ‘’

Atta Aboagye in an interview with De-majesty Kamil Umar of Seancitygh.com insisted that Agya Koo is still a legend and a resurrector of Ghanaian movies.

He called on those calling Agya Koo to render an apology to rather celebrate him than subjecting him to public ridicule.

Ernest Atta Aboagye clarified that Agya Koo has never said he originated the Ghana Movie Industry but what he said is he played a key role in reviving the industry from sinking.

Atta Aboagye further confirmed that his client undoubtedly revived the movie industry at a time movies from Nigeria had taken over Ghana’s market.
