I will revive NDC communication machinery - Kobby Fiagbe

Kobby Fiagbe, an aspiring National Propaganda Secretary for the National Democratic Congress, has pledged to revive the party’s communication machinery for it to retain power in the 2016 general election.

Mr Fiagbe said there was the need for the party to strengthen its communication tool to give accurate and appropriate information to the public to contest the mediocrity and lies from other political parties.

Speaking at the launch of his campaign in Accra, Mr Fiagbe said he would map up communication strategy to target the youth who were yet to attain 18, to be abreast with the history and achievements of the party.

“This is necessary because the youth will be informed about the true state of the country’s economy and the development projects of the party for them to be armed with information devoid of lies,” he explained.

He said his vision would be based on three principles - research, retool and retrain.

Mr Fiagbe noted that research helped the previous propaganda secretary to succeed and so through effective research he would ensure that information got to the communicators in every part of the country for effective dissemination.

He said he would make good use of tools like androids, handsets, modems to facilitate communication and organize periodic training sessions for communicators to make them abreast of emerging information trends.

Mr Fiagbe said the party had a solid record of achievements to ride on because the NDC administration had pursued developmental projects, such as the Ghana National Gas Processing Plant, refurbishment and expansion of the Ridge Hospital, Expansion of the Police Hospital in Accra, and the expansion of the Kpone Water Pumping Station.
