Massive endorsement for Nana Addo as nationwide Volunteers For Nana Akufo Addo “ Formed



Even before the New Patriotic Party could go for the National Delegates congress on October 18th to elect a flahbearer for the party, a new group has been formed in the Techiman South Municipality to campaign for Nana Addo for the 2016 presidential election. The group, led by Mr. Abdulkarim Sumani was outdoored last at the Agyewaa Memorial Hotel amidst pump and pageantry.

Speaking at the outdooring ceremony which was attended by party supporters from far and near, Mr. Sumani said from what he has learnt from the grounds, the election of Nana Akufo Addo on 18th October as a flagbearer is a foregone conclusion and as such the group is beginning the main battle to wrestle power from the NDC with Nana as the leader of the party.

According to Mr. Sumani wherever you go the clarion call is for the NPP to bring back Nana to run in 2016 and even some party supporters have threatened not to vote if the party changes Nana as the flagbearer of the party. He admonished all those who are calling for other contestants to withdraw from the race to stop doing so because it will not augur well for unity in the party. In his view if people are allowed to contest Nana Addo, it will portray more the democratic credentials of the NPP.

According to Mr. Sumani it is during a competition of this nature that party faithful seize the opportunity to interact with key members of the party and so other contestants should not entertain the idea to withdraw from the race. He also charged those who speak for Nana Addo to be moderate in their criticism of other contestants and remember that at the end of the day, all of them will be in the same trenches to fight a common battle of pushing the NDC from power to safe Ghana from total collapse.

Mr. Sumani warned elders of the party to be wary of some people in the party who seize any fracas in the party to make money. Such people, he said are enemies of the party and they must be shunned. Mr. Sumani was at a lost as to why people in Accra knock heads of contestants together forgetting that the main enemy is the NDC.

It will be recalled that Mr. Sumani who was a very staunch supporter of the NDC defected to join the NPP a few months ago and as since single handedly taken over the campaign for Victory 2016. He has formed another group which is engaged in house to house campaign for the NPP. Mr. Sumani has sworn to make things very difficult for the NDC in the Techiman South Constituency and has vowed to make sure the NPP wrestles the seat from the NDC, come 2016
