Akufo-Addo: I’m willing to work with Alan, et al

Main opposition NPP flagbearer-aspirant, Nana Akufo-Addo, says he is willing to work with all his competitors after the party’s flagbearership race, in order to win power in the 2016 elections.

“I am determined to work with everybody in this party, everybody who is determined to win in 2016, whether they support me or not, I am determined to work with them,” the former Attorney General stated when he addressed delegates of the party in the Greater Accra region on Friday.

According to him, although there appears to be tension ahead of the mega-conference in October, he is confident all the other aspirants will come together and support whoever is elected as flagbearer in order to present a united front to Ghanaians ahead of the 2016 elections.

“We are not robots, we don’t go with just one thinking. We may have different views and differences of opinions about strategy and differences of opinion about leadership. But one thing, which is an important part of our culture, is that, once we have made a decision, once there is a trend, we all come together, follow that decision or trend and make it happen,” he added.

The former foreign affairs Minister also appealed to the delegates to give him a resounding victory in the conference to send a signal to the governing NDC.

“The victory will make it possible for us to put in place our vision – the transformation of our country. Our country can be much better off than it is today. This country is a country that can be prosperous and where the ordinary person can have a dignified life. That is what we are going to ensure happens in Ghana with our victory,” he noted.
