Akufo-Addo regrets August 29 concession speech

- Tamale congress to herald evil plot? Intelligence report chanced on by The Al-hAJJ has revealed that the decision by the twice defeated presidential candidate of the opposition New patriotic Parry, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to stake a third claim at the presidency is to cement an unfinished agenda; to plunge Ghana into crisis.

The classified report revealed that the “all-die-be-die” crusader has since his decision to concede defeat after the August 29 landmark election petition verdict delivered by Justices of the Supreme Court, regretted his action.

Although Nana Akufo-Addo’s profound concession speech of that day catapulted him onto the privileged pedestal of statesman, in the same bracket with former Presidents Rawlings, Kufuor and noble men like Mr. Kofi Annan among others, sources close to him says statesmanship means nothing, compared to getting addressed “His Excellency”.

The report, believed to be in the possession of state security and gleaned by The aL-hAJJ exposed how the “unsuccessful” opposition leader inadvertently and grudgingly accepted the ruling by the nine member panel of the apex court of the land on August 29, 2013, contrary to a well-oiled plot to reject the outcome if it was not in his favor.

Nana Akufo Addo, according to the report, in cahoots with hardliners in the NPP had hatched wicked plans to among other things reject the court ruling out-rightly and demand power sharing or make the country ungovernable as earlier foretold by the party’s acerbic-tongue General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John.

As part of Akufo Addo’s alternate undemocratic political plot to use the courts to equal his father’s achievement, the report showed that several meetings were held at a popular hotel located in the North Ridge area of Accra with mercenaries believed to have come from Togo and Ivory Coast ahead of the Supreme Court ruling.

The ‘soldiers of fortune’ thought to have been recruited from neighboring countries were stationed at Adenta, Alajo and near Akufo-Akufo Addo’s Nima residence, with standby forces based in countries sharing borders with Ghana.

No explanation so far has been provided why the wicked plot failed to materialized, but according to a source familiar with the devilish intent, it may probably be due to the endless prayers and fasting by Ghanaians of all faith ahead of the verdict.

The former Abuakwa South Member of Parliament is said to have since been biting his nails as he is reported to have resolved this time, not to commit any such ‘grave mistake’ even if that will require full scale civil war in order to achieve his lifetime ambition of becoming President.

Tamale to herald show

Party insiders have narrated to the aL-hAJJ how adherents and co-conspirators of Nana Akufo-Addo’s plan, to set the tone at the April 12 congress of the party in the Northern regional capital, Tamale. “The idea is to imbibe in his supporters and the party in general the aggressive and violent nature the party’s campaign ahead of the 2016 election will be," a party source opposed to the violence plot revealed.

Having already made it clear that the party would not head to the Supreme Court again after the 2016 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo and his linchpins are said to have adequately prepared to feed the party supporters with some doses of how they will approach the next presidential and parliamentary elections at the Tamale congress.

Having been convinced the party’s congress to elect flag bearer is a done deal, Nana Akufo-Addo and his henchmen have begun strategizing how to violently prosecute the 2016 elections.

It is in fulfillment of Nana Addo’s childhood dream of becoming president no matter how it comes that inform the recent effusions of Antwi Bosiaku aka ‘Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP to have vowed to employ an Arab spring tactics to topple the Mahama administration following his meetings with Nana Akufo-Addo in London whiles the latter was abroad.

Party sources say Wontumi’s outburst was part of the deployment of a well-crafted and rehearsed agenda based on Nana Akufo-Addo’s “all-die-be-die” ‘ideology’ which he urged party supporters to employ in the run-up to the 2012 elections.

The Al-hajj has gathered that starting next month, May, a more deadly and elaborate version of what Chairman Wontumi has threatened will kick-start in the NPP’s stronghold of Ashanti region, spreading into other regions subsequently with the sole purpose of toppling the Mahama government.

The idea is to revive the “yen akanfuor” tribal bigotry aimed at pitching the Mahama government against Akans which will eventually lead to an outbreak of violence nationwide; taking inspiration from Sammy Awuku’s “Womafun” avowal.

Plans to recruit mercenaries and “bad boys” from neighboring countries as the NPP’s former Youth Organizer, Anthony Karbo, revealed in the run-up to the last election is also said to be on the radar. Stay tuned.
