Nana Akufo-Addo fan club formed at Agona Swedru

Agona Swedru (C/R), May 18, GNA - Mr Samuel Kweku Addae, Chairman of newly formed Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo Fan Club has tasked supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to work harder to clinch a resounding victory in the December general election.

He said the core mission of the Fan Club was to mobilize members and floating voters to support and vote massively for the NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in order to defeat other opposition parties.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in at interview at Agona Swedru on Saturday, Mr. Addae said the Club had mobilized more supporters at Owane-Mangoase, Desuanim, Nkubease, Mahodwe and Dwenho, all suburbs of the Swedru Municipality.

He said members of the Club had started house-to-house campaigning to explain policies and programmes of the government to the people and also the need to elect Nana Akufo-Addo to succeed President J.A. Kufuor. Mr Addae said the good governance, rule of law, freedom of speech and huge investments made by the government in infrastructure development needed to be explained to the people to enable them make their choice.

He urged members to spread the true gospel of the government to people in the Agona West Constituency to enable them vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and Samuel Kweku Obodai, incumbent MP and NPP Parliamentary Candidate for December.

Mr Addae noted that Nana Akufo-Addo has leadership qualities to lead the country to improve social, economic and political advancement of the people and asked them to vote massively to win.

Mr Addae expressed concern about the number of problems that had rocked the NPP primaries and appealed to the supporters and contestants to amicably resolve them to ensure peace and stability in the Party. He stated that the task ahead of the Party were enormous and urged members to unite in order to chalk success in the elections. He appealed to the NPP National Campaign Team and MP for the area to assist members of the Club with logistics to enable them to achieve their objectives.
