The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) previously announced the withdrawal of two of its officers who were captured in a viral video being offered an envelope at a polling station during the ongoing Ejisu parliamentary by-election.

In a statement released on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the EC disclosed that the officers in the video are temporary staff working at the Fumesua Pentecost Church Polling Station in Ejisu.

GhanaWeb has since obtained the video which depicts the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Professor Kingsley Nyarko, offering an envelope to the Electoral Commission officials.

In the video, the MP is seen interacting with the electoral officials and taking an envelope from his pocket.

He attempts to hand the envelope to the EC officials, who do not accept it.

The MP then places the envelope on the table of the EC officials before walking away.
