Ray Narh was a highly touted boxer puncher who was expected to shine. He had dominated the lightweight B and C class fighters and his reign came to an end after he met A- class fighter and former WBO champion Mike Alvarado. Narh has himself to blame for not listening to close associates , ruining his chances when he rose to number 4 in the WBC rankings etc. Lawson is on the rise and has fought better quality fighters. At welterweight, the only person he has beaten is RONALD CRUZ who himself has been fed bums along the way. Everytime Narh has stepped up , either he has been knocked out or lost. The opponents however move on to become champions or interim champions. The painful part is Narh has a wonderful trainer , kwame Asante, he gave Ghana champions like Joshua Clottey, (IBF against ZAB JUDAH), and JOSEPH AGBEKO (ALSO IBF ). I see Narh as a gatekeeper. Nothing wrong with that, i guess so far as you get paid. At this age, since hes no Benard Hopkins with a good nutritionist, he might as well blame it on banku kanwe hahahaha.Lawson on the other hand has to worry about one thing and one thing only, the reach and Jab of Narh , and the fact that he still can crack and has pop in his right hand. if he walks into a straight right or upper cut from Narhs right hand he will need a VERY good chin or its bye bye-- Sleep time. All the best to both boxers, cant really choose this one.
