Anim, Gaisah and Abayie to represent Ghana at the IAAF Indoor Championship

Accra, Feb. 13, GNA – Three Ghanaian athletes will represent the nation at the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Indoor Championships in Instanbul, Turkey next month.

Information gathered from the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) by GNA Sports said, sprinters Vida Anim and Tim Abayie will represent Ghana in the women and men's 60 meters race respectively.

According to the information, Ignatius Gaisah, silver medalist at the just ended All Africa Games (AAG) in Long Jump, will also make a representation at the championship, which commences on March 9 and ends on March 11, at the Ataköy Athletics Arena, Instanbul, Turkey.

The three athletes are expected to arrive in Turkey on March 7, with the GAA currently in a discussion to send a technical team to guide the athletes in the competition.

Anim, it would be recalled won silver medal in the 200 meters race for Ghana at the AAG last year in Maputo, Mozambique, whilst Abayie, who though made it to the men's 200 meters could not participate in the finals.
