Keep Fit Clubs inaugurated

Accra, March 5, GNA - The youth have been urged to develop a keen interest in sports so as to help them stay healthy at all times. Madam Theresa Amerley Tagoe, Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister made the call on Sunday at the inauguration of the Greater Accra Regional Keep Fit Clubs Association in Accra on Sunday.

She said sports plays an important role in the development of the human body and advised that its total rejection would lead to the body facing various health hazards

The Deputy Regional Minister also called on the members of the association to concentrate on their physical training and take them seriously while refraining from taking alcoholic beverages which she said can be dangerous to their health.

Prince Ernest Oduro-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council in an address read for him called on the Association to embark on a membership drive so that more people, especially the youth would feel free to join them.

Mr George Owusu Ansah, President of the Association said the executive members would work diligently to ensure that it achieves its aim and called on the members to co-operate to ensure its success.
