Energizer 5000m Walk

As part of preparation towards the upcoming World Walking Cup in Spain, the Visco walking Club has lined a number of programs to get its members in shape to qualify for the event. In line with this, the club in conjunction with its affiliate sponsors in the names of Energizer, Voltic Mineral Water, Biriwa Beach Hotel and Savoy Hotel, is organizing a 5000m walk at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, 20th October, 2005 at exactly 7:30a.m.

Walkers who are expected to take part in the event include; Jacqueline Aku Bludo (Ghana Police Service), Vincent Asumang (Ghana National Fire Service), Ahmed Tijani Sanni (Ghana Armed Forces, Navy), Stanley Brimah, Benjamin Kojo Annan, Francis Kwame Adarkwa, Robert Nelson Annim, all of Central region. The rest are Andrew Quansah, Stephen Boateng, Yaw Francis Ako, Sanni Mohammed, Cephas Agbenyo, Atta Bright, Prince Frimpong and Godslove Andrews from the Ashanti region.

Those from the Western region are Thomas Quaicoo, Richard Arthur and Isaac Obeng.The Greater Accra team is made up of John Kwadzo Senanu Segbe, Fred Opoku, Andrew Kodjo Tukpe, Adjei Boateng, and Michael Osei Boateng. Eric Kwabena Nuamah, George Nartey, Stephen Nartey, Wisdom Shellery, Eric Sarpong, Martin Kporfor, make up the team from Eastern region.
