1st Ghana Athletes Abroad Reunion

As part of the effort to better engage each other and stay connected to athletics in Ghana, current and former national athletes abroad will be meeting in Bristow Virginia (USA) for the 1st Ghana Athletes Abroad Reunion (GAAR) on the 3rd - 4th July 2010.

The over arching goal of this gathering is to bring together various generations of athletes. A general meeting will be held on Saturday 3rd July from 9:45am to 12:00pm. The meeting will focus on discussions about the current and future role of the group as it relates to the broader context of Athletics in Ghana. An optional tour of historic and cultural sites in the Washington DC area will take place between 1:45pm and 6:00pm. This will be followed by a reunion party from 8:30pm until dawn. The gathering will conclude on Sunday 4th July with a cookout/picnic from 12pm until 3:00pm. All times stated are local.
