The Ghana immigration personnel are very notoriously found of harassing and delaying Ghanaian travellers for money. Especially 1st time and non confident travelers. They will ask you for foreign curr ...

The Ghana immigration personnel are very notoriously found of harassing and delaying Ghanaian travellers for money. Especially 1st time and non confident travelers. They will ask you for foreign currency and if you refuse they with intentionally delay you from boarding flight or take you to a search room when they remove your money in the bag or pocket by force. This been the NORM before the past 10 years or more. I encountered it whilst traveling to SA in 2016. Lucky enough, my agent had warned me ahead to prepare to pay or be harrassed and flight delayed.
