SWAG Ghana Premier League’s 2010-11 Player of the Year

  • July 15 2013: Ghanaian youngster Mumuni Abubakar has been loaned to Belgian side Cercle Brugge from PSL side Sundowns. The 19-year-old was signed last season from Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United but could not make his debut for the Brazilian.
  • June 16 2012: South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns signed Mumuni Abubakar to a five year deal. According to Sundowns, the New Edubiase midfielder will be on a two year-deal with three years of options.
  • On 02.07.2011, Mumuni was rather sensationally adjudged the “2010-2011 Premiership Player of the Year” according to the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG). This is a very prestigous award by Ghanaian standards.
