1) He was part of a team which won the Africa Cup of Nations for Ghana not once but twice--1963, '65.
Since 1982, has your era and for that matter Ghana been able to do this.
2) Playing professional football abroad was none existence during his playing days. Yet, Stoke City heard about him and invited him to their training sessions in England.
There and then they signed him to £30,000per year contract. Kotoko and GFA refused to release him.
There is more about him and at the appropriate time you hear from me or any other person who had the privilege of watching him play.

Why should a team buy one player for millions of pounds, dollars, or euros if the government dint gain any income from football games. This are some of reasons why Ghana does not prosper because of all this negativity and nonsensical thought. Remove sports and the nation will never see unity, love, understanding, and happiness, it is only in football that you see all tribes coming together in unity to cheer and support their team and nothing else draw people together in unity and love like sports unless a person does not change his thought. Can any tell where he can find unity more and better of than in sports.

Mind you Abedi Pele himself will tell you that he is fit to clean the boots of these three I have mentioned. He has done it all.
