You mention all countries before yours, just like the standard courtesy of acknowledging others before yourself (which we all learned in primary school), like "Nokwareba and DIAMOND" if I'm the one speaking, or "DIAMOND and Nokwareba" if you're the one speaking.
That's why we say "Kofi and I" did this or that, or "he acknowledged Kofi and me".
Where did you learn your journalism?
Stop lying to the kids.
Teach them better manners than what elevates oneself before others.
Besides, this is a write-up from BBC.
Let them deal with the alphabetical order of listing. After all, Nigeria is not playing at home to be listed first.
BUT I also know that in tournaments, every team is always "Home" or "Away".
So, perhaps, Naija is the "Home team" in the upcoming clash.

This is a World Wide Web with interests in world sports entertainment ETC. Writing about other countries is part o what a www would do.infact , writing about the best team in the subject at hand is what a www would do. The Nigerian team is the best in Africa and an excellent www would write about them. I wonder what is wrong with the present day generation of Ghanaians which is full of hatred and despise for othe Africans. The repercussions of your hatred are starring you in the faces with the state of sports and the economy of the once buoyant and friendly nation. Immediately you hear Nigeria, you start showing hatred but our banks and companies are in Ghana providing employments ETC to thousands of Ghanaians.what was wrong in a journalist writing about the success of a powerhouse of African football. Continue to hate us whilst we make progress. Needless to say hatred kills faster than hiv

All the 16 comments have concentrated why the report put Nigeria before Ghana. the first comment started with it and the rest jumped on board. Nobody cared to comment on the performance of the ladies and wish them well in their upcoming matches, semifinals and may be finals. So I ask, if you criticise the journalist for not being patriotic where is yours?
For me and my other villagers, we wish the ladies all the best. They are making us proud unlike the male team who squander a lot of our foreign exchange BUT bring home poor results
