What is wrong with Ghanaians? Eight thousand dollars bonus for any match by a country with a GDP of less than $50 Billion does not make sense. We have huge challenges as a developing country. Check on the African continent and see whether there is any country that pays anything near that amount as winning bonuses. Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt, the three biggest economies in Africa with GDPs of over $400 Billion each do not pay that amount. The Black Stars players are not kids for us to be promising them extra bonus before they give off their best in crucial matches. In the more advanced countries, the Football Associations depend on sponsorship to administer their national teams, and even with that, they do not pay crazy bonuses. Ghanaians must wise up. We have more challenging programmes and projects to tackle as a developing country. The players can chose to play or not, but Ghana will move on. Our country should not be paying anything more that Two Thousand dollars ($2,000) as winninjg bonuses, PERIOD!!!
